Direction for use

Take your forehead temperature

1.Press the Power button to power on.

2.Keep the probe cover touch your forehead on above the brow center.

3.Press and release the Measure button in 1 second, after one beep is heard, now you can read the value.

Take your ear temperature

1.Press the Power button to power on.

2.Take off the probe cover, gently insert the probe into your ear and attach the probe to your ear canal.

3.Press and release the Measure button in 1 second, after one beep is heard, now you can read the value.

Turn off

1.Automatically: It will shut down automatically after it is not used for 30 seconds.

2.Manually: Hold down the Power button for 5 seconds until the LED display screen shows nothing.

The thermometer can store 32 sets of measurement data, and when the memory is full, the last measurement will always replace the first measurement.

If you want to review the previous measurement, in the state of shutdown, hold pressing the Set button 3 seconds until you see the ‘M’ symbol appears on the screen, release the button.

and ℉ Conversion

If you want convert ℃ to ℉ or ℉ to ℃, in the state of shutdown, hold pressing the Set button 6 seconds until you see the ‘℃’ symbol or the ‘℉’ symbol appears on the screen, release the button. Don't care about the other symbols that appear in the process.

Press the set button again, then the ℃ symbol or the ℉ symbol will be converted to another.

Turn On or Off the Buzzer

If you want to turn on or off the buzzer, in the state of shutdown, hold pressing the Set button 9 seconds until you see the ‘ON’ symbol or the ‘OFF’ symbol appears on the screen, release the button. Don't care about the other symbols that appear in the process.

Press the Set button again, then the ‘ON’ symbol or the ‘OFF’ symbol will be converted to another.

Fever Alert

Green Light: Below 37.5℃/99.5℉, indicating temperature is normal;

Yellow light: Between 99.5℉~101.3℉/37.5~38.5℃, indicating temperature is on the high side（should pay attention to the temperature）;

Red Light: Over 38.5℃/101.3℉, indicating fever( should see a doctor as soon as possible).

I discovered it could be several factors: different insertion in the ear, earwax and the last time it happened to me my daughter had an ear infection in the ear with the higher reading. After her ear infection was cured the reading was just +- .2 different between the 2 ears.

Answer:	If you are referring to the current price shown (S$368.xx) compared to NTF3000 (S$198.xx), that is largely due to the current inflicted pricing. When I bought it in late January 2020, it was in fact cheaper than NTF3000. Prior to COVID-19 pandemic, the price was just marginally higher than NTF3000. BNT400 (aka '3-in-1 No Touch' in USA) has additional feature which is calibrated for different age group. Furthermore, it's sensor is likely to be different than NTF3000 hence it is capable to detect food and bath water temperature rather accurately. From an industrial terminology, what that means is that the thermoscan is capable to switch between different 'Nominal Surface Emissivity' (human body NSE is different from food/water NSE which is 0.93). NTF3000 likelihood does not have the ability to switch between NSE, hence cheaper. Hope this helps.
