If you put a short 8 inch length of sewing thread in the lanyard loop and fold the thread so the thread ends meet, then you can easily get the thread through the hole and pull the thread until the lanyard Loop comes through. Please note though that when your blood perfusion level is low or when your hands are cold, the device may need more time to optimize and register an accurate reading. In this instance, we suggest that you warm your hands and fingers before taking the measurements. You can do this simply by rubbing your hands together. Remember your pulse oximeter is measuring your SpO2 and PR based on your blood flow. If the blood flow in your finger drops below a certain level, the pulse oximeter will not be able to function. Answer:	Yes I have and the heart rate is very close. I have several of these and COPD and this ones heart rate at least the one that I have is very good. On the cell phone app which is called Oximeter the oxygen sensor is way off like 5 points high which is critical and I was told that the cell phone oximeter was more designed for sports than for actual health problems! as an example a five point spread could cause major organ damage do to low oxygen!

Question:	Does this device or any similar that anyone knows of have settable alarms for low-oxygen and/or high-pulse? This would be great for sleep apnea detect
Answer:	I have Raynaud’s. I am 60 yr old female recovering from Covid19. You will need to warm your hands up. This is true if you were in the best hospital. Run them under warm water and dry them before getting a read. Also, this will not work with acrylic nails. You will have to either put your finger in upside down or you can use your toe. Raynauds will make your toes cold too, so heat them up a little bit. Wear socks for a bit and then use the device. I did this both ways and got identical results. It works perfect.

Question:	How long do battery last
Answer:	It should stay stable after providing the initial reading, unless you are moving it around. Also wet fingers can cause misreads. Keep in mind this is not and will never be as accurate as a medical o2 meter you would find in doctors office. I’ve used it a lot since getting it and had one reading of 93% while everything else was 98-99% range. I would suggest you take the average of readings rather than focus on a single reading, and if it seems very crazy you should try doing a re-check. First few seconds should tell you the o2 levels, don’t need to leave it on longer. If you are feeling short of breath and it’s reading in the 80s you might want to go to the hospital

Answer:	I have not used this pulse ox but have experience using other manufacturer’s in the hospital (portable or those connected to hospital monitor). One main reason my colleagues and I cannot get a reading is if the patient’s fingers are cold. Sometimes we can remedy this by wrapping our hand around their finger until warm. Another reason (specifically when working with patient’s with small fingers) is the pulse ox isn’t appropriately sized. Lastly, if there is nail polish on the fingernail, we get an inaccurate or no reading at all. The workaround we use in the hospital is to use a different type of pulse ox to place on their ear or toe.
