Answer:	When in off mode it can be turned off or on right at the unit or with the provided Contura switch that can be installed remotely. In off lock mode the unit can NOT be turned on at the unit or remotely with the switch. To better explain this unit can be used for a wide variety of things. I used it to be able to turn off my winch remotely. However, this unit is designed to allow a mechanic to lock out the ability for a captain up in the wheel house to be able to remotely try to start a generator while the mechanic is working on it. Once the mechanic is done working on it he can take the unit out of lock mode and put it in off mode. Allowing the captain to remotely turn the unit on or off anytime via his Contura switch. Answer:	You do load multiple shots (and if you do it right you can shotgun load multiple bands) and I think I managed 6 or 7 before I was totally empty. The stronger the bands you use the less shots you have. YouTube this launcher, there are some demos about how to load and fire it that show what I mean. Answer:	Hi KB!Both are almost identical in performance, but there are some differences; the "ONSITE" version requires a doctors prescription; has a 4 hour battery life vs 3 hrs for the "Home" unit, but don't let that sway you because it equates to 200 shocks vs 90. The warranty is 8 yrs vs 5 yrs for the Home. Prices are similar. I have the Home version and it is fine with a flashing red light telling you that the unit is self testing and ready for use. It is a comforting device to have, especially in our motor home, where we may be many miles/minutes from a hospital in an emergency, where 10 mins is the max time one may have for a successful resusitation, with chances deteriorating 10%/min! The unit is small, well built, attractive, relatively inexpensive and excellent as an insurance policy! I was a medical specialist in the Military, and my wife is a registered nurse and we both selected this unit after a pretty comprehensive research effort. Buy the HOME unit and you will be happy & well protected! Good luck!

Answer:	Neither of the 2 units require a Doctor's Rx to purchase or use. The FDA / Food Drug Admin however very specifically states that the Home version (while assumedly only warranty is different) is ONLY to be used in a residential environment, and further the FDA on its government website continues and states the Onsite version is to be used in a business. The Home and the Onsite model numbers are different. That being said, ANY and ALL businesses if they want to avoid having to potentially pay for legal advice, which could be more than the cost difference between the two units, should either go ahead and purchase the Onsite version OR at a minimum if a business is going to purchase the Home version, even through the FDA specifies it is to only be used in residential homes, a Business NEEDS or SHOULD check with local and state regulators, your legal counsel, law enforcement AND your company insurance carrier. A business may also want to write, email or contact Phillips Healthcare and ask if using the home version is a business would void the warranty. It is often with residential electronics that commercial use instantly voids warranties, rights, and other protections. But Why at a minimum contact legal counsel and your insurer if you are buying a home version for a business after the FDA specifies different use? Think about what happened in 2014, and form your own opinion to protect your business interests. Here is an example of what 'could happen'; in 2014 there was a recall on both of these units which was taken care of. These are two of the world’s best units but like all electronics which have hundreds of parts, there’s bound to be a part issue here and there with any and all AEDs at any time. (Scary., but it was resolved quickly) But say a business purchased the "home" version to save a few bucks and unknown to the business there was a recall issue and during that time before the problem was detected, an employee or visitor had SCA, the AED was pulled for use on the victim, and the AED failed, did not deliver the correct adequate shock joule value, or otherwise malfunctioned and the victim passed on. If the victim's family, insurance carrier, the business insurance carrier, federal, state or local government got involved, it is very well likely they would find out the business purchased the Home version. Continuing, here is WHY a business attorney would NEED to contact their legal counsel AND insurer and regulating agencies including OSHA (whom I would assume, ALL could possible and maybe most likely say to purchase the onsite NOT the home for a business) - IF the victim passed, Is or COULD the business be civilly or criminally liable? If law Enforcement found the business purchased the home unit to save a few hundred dollars and that resulted in death, could they try to pursue involuntary manslaughter? Could it be wrongful death or negligent homicide? What laws could be violated? If the business purchases the correct version, they are typically protected under laws, and users protected under good Samaritan laws, but does that protection go away if a business buys a home version to save money? THJOSE are the questions ANY and ALL businesses NEED to find out before purchasing. Playing devils advocate though, a business having a home AED is better than not having any AED, any day.. SO what to do.. If you carried your home AED in your car for your personal home use and your car was at the office, maybe it would be different (another question to ask counsel perhaps?) But see where I am going with this? Although the same, the FDA has made a specific use guideline specification. The model numbers are indeed different. As a business owner, we are spending the money which is not allot when it comes to saving a life and we are NOT buying the home version because we are not going to spend $800 on legal advice to save $400 and its easier to just follow the FDA guidelines and not have to open that can of worms...

Answer:	I agree with the previous answers. FYI, the pads I purchased 8/30/2020 have an expiration date of 05/2022, so a bit less than 2 years. I needed pediatric pads too, and amazon did not have them in stock. I purchased from an AED supply company that was able to verify the expiration date of their current stock before I placed the order. In the future, I'll go through them for adult pads as well.
