How to charge?

Answer:	The decimal points come from a blood pressure measurement called kPa. I think most of us in the US use mmHg. In order to reset that measurement, you have to reset your machine. Open the battery cover, then go through the set up stage slowly. You are not only setting up the date. At one point, you will see kPa in super-tiny letters. If you press "Mem," that will change to mmHg. Press set.

Will the cuff fit my arm?

Selecting the correct cuff is extremely important. Cuff size is dependent upon the circumference of the arm (measured in the center of the bicep). The permissible range is printed on the cuff and our cuffs are a universal size, fitting 8.7 inches - 15.7 inches (22-40 cm) arms. Measure your arm to make sure the cuff will fit you.

How to understand that the device detected an arrhythmia?

If you see three heart symbols on the screen, it indicates that the device has found an arrhythmia, which is a disruption in your heartbeat. This might mean that you need to relax, calm down, and not speak during the measurement. If the symbol appears several times in a single week, we recommend going to a doctor.

Why is there a Micro USB plug on the device?

The Paramed Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor comes with batteries included so that you can use it as soon as it’s delivered to you. You may also operate this monitor using an AC adapter. Answer:	I haven't had any problems with the lb. Vs. Kg except when I picked it up to move it. Just pushed the button and voila it stayed on lbs.

Answer:	My body fat is ~12%, but the scale reports my body fat as 22%, because I'm athletic. The scale measures weight and also uses a (very small) electrical current through your body to measure your body's electrical impedance. With this data, and some assumptions, and calculations, software derives the other health stats. One of the assumptions is that you are average. While it would be easy to implement, they do not enable their software to include input for your level of fitness. If you've used other fitness products you may have been asked during setup to describe your level of fitness or enter how often you exercise. Those questions enable results that are much more accurate. While Eufy rightfully boasts of the accuracy and precision of its scales measurement of weight it oddly makes no effort to be accurate in the other health stats provided.

Relax and sit comfortably with your left arm resting on a table. Fasten the cuff on your upper arm and position the tube off-center toward the inner side of your arm. Do not talk to people before or while measuring.

STEP 2

The cuff should be snug, but not too tight. You should be able to insert one finger between the cuff and your arm. If the monitor shows "E1" Reading while measuring, please re-fasten the cuff and try again.

STEP 3

The middle of the cuff should be level with the height of your heart. Before starting the measurement, sit comfortably with your back and arm supported, legs uncrossed, and feet flat on the floor. Then start measuring.

Simple Steps For Accurate Measurement

1. Sit and rest for about 5 min before taking your blood pressure

2. Place cuff on your left upper arm just above your elbow. Ensure that the cuff strap is at your heart level and air tube is on the inside of your arm, aligned to your middle finger.

3. Press "ON" to operate the blood pressure machine.

4. Do not talk or move around while taking any readings.

• Always take measurement at the same time of the day.
• Avoid exercising, bathing, eating, smoking, and drinking alcohol or caffeinated beverages for 30 minutes prior. Ideally, rest 15 minutes before you begin. Your readings will be automatically stored in your blood pressure monitor so you can share them with your doctor.

2. How will I know if my readings are in or out of range?

There is a blood pressure level indicator on the left side of the screen. Refer to page 15 in the instruction manual for WHO Standard Blood Pressure Values.

3. Why does my blood pressure fluctuate?

It's normal for your blood pressure to vary from day to day, within range of 20mmHg up or down. It’s also common for it to be higher or lower at the doctor’s office. Be sure to discuss your results with your doctor.

"Sit with your feet flat on the floor, rest your back against the chair, and place your arm on a table or other flat surface to the level of your heart".

Answer:	I received both a set of 4 AAA batteries and a USB cable that I can plug into a USB wall charger if I want to save the batteries. There is also a port for a wall AC adapter but the AC adapter is not included.
