Answer:	NO! Usually a very large arm with a cuff too small will read artificially high. Inversely, a very small arm in a larger than desired cuff will read abnormally low. This is true even with a sphygmomameter. Every quality cuff has a size range marked on it. Take a string, or piece of tape--wrap it around your upper arm, relaxed but forearm bent, mark where the tape/string crosses, remove and measure. If within the cuff parameters you are ok. Answer:	Hi!!! The unit can run with both batteries or the Ac adapter. It comes with 4 "AA" batteries so you can put it to work right out of the box, and you can always purchase a separate AC adapter. Any 6V 1A AC to DC Power Adapter, with a 5.5/2.1 mm tip will work for this unit.
Question:	How accurate is this device
Answer:	It appears to very accurate. My husband is very pleased with the unit. It is a small company who sells this and their customer service is excellent. My husband has to monitor his blood pressure 2 times a day and the last unit he had was very inaccurate. The only way you can really tell how accurate it is would be to take it on you next Dr. appointment and compare the readings to their bp monitor in the Dr. office. We haven't done it yet with this unit but we had to do it with the other unit we had because the readings were not consistent. It is easy to use too.

Simple Steps For Accurate Measurement

1. Sit and rest for about 5 min before taking your blood pressure

2. Place cuff on your left upper arm just above your elbow. Ensure that the cuff strap is at your heart level and air tube is on the inside of your arm, aligned to your middle finger.

3. Press "ON" to operate the blood pressure machine.

4. Do not talk or move around while taking any readings.

1. Will the cuff fit my large arm?

Our large cuff is able to fit upper arm size 9" - 17". Measure your upper arm with a cloth tape to ensure the best fit. XL cuff for upper arm size 9"-21" is available and sold separately, search for DrKea BP Cuff on Amazon.

2. How will I know if my readings are in or out of range?

There is a blood pressure level indicator on the left side of the screen. Refer to page 15 in the instruction manual for WHO Standard Blood Pressure Values.

3. Why does my blood pressure fluctuate?

It's normal for your blood pressure to vary from day to day, within range of 20mmHg up or down. It’s also common for it to be higher or lower at the doctor’s office. Be sure to discuss your results with your doctor.
