Answer:	Crap. I've been wearing this for almost a year. Feels like things are finally starting to get better! Tendon injuries just take FOREVER to heal! No appliance will make that happen faster than another one. Unless you need the thumb spica.... I've never thrown it in the washing machine, but I think it'd be okay if you didn't use any bleach. I usually wash mine by hand and let it dry someplace warm. That being said, I really liked it and thought it was better made than most. The thumb spica really works well to hold everything in place.

Answer:	I'm not 100% sure, but can't imagine what on it would contain latex. There is a piece stretchy material that fits across the opening. (the green piece in the illustration), but it's likely that the fabric is lycra.

Answer:	Short refers to how far it goes up your leg, not the length of the foot bed. So no, your toes should be entirely enclosed by the boot, as long as you order the correct size. My toes were very well protected after surgery.

Answer:	There is a pump built into the side of the boot on the elite model. You can inflate, deflate and control pressure in the various chambers without any special tools or devices. I would definitely get the elite because you have to adjust the air a lot during the day and having to carry a separate tool would be a nightmare.Just my two cents...

Answer:	Dunno about the brand or what Day was doing with their brace but I got mine in May 2020 and while I don't wear it every single day anymore it's still holding up. Just follow the instructions. The holes they're talking about might be because they threw it in the washer or something even though the instructions say wash it by hand. This brace is very sturdy and comfy enough to sleep in.

Answer:	No the heel is not covered. In the back two peices come together like panels, the foot slips through the hole so that it covers the entite front of the ankle. I think this is to get it on and off eaiser. But in the back its open with s tiny strap to keep the two sides together. The strap causes issues with it fitting in a shoe its low enough to where it hits the heel in the shoe, making it very difficult and in my take a trip hazard as the only way to wear it is to loosen your laces to wear the shoe slides on and off. In the picture given it looks like the heel is covered because there is a wrap around strap to hold the two sides together further up as the sides go up your calfs pretty high. But thr straps do not cover the heel in the back. So the picture is false advertising, or they should include pictured. I love aircast boots, but they really made this horribly. It hurts my ankle, heel and calfs to wear. It is un-useable. I have pictures if you need them. Hope this helps. Ty

Answer:	No, there is no sock. However, the cast comes with a complete soft felt that overlaps to cover all of the foot and lower leg. It's very comfortable to wear.
Question:	Is the size true to fit? I normally ware 11 1/2 in mens shoes. I'm wondering if the 10-13 will be too long
Answer:	It is sized to fit a range of shoe sizes. My son wears a size 12 and it was only slightly long for his foot. If you are 11 1/2 it should be fine. your toes will not be hanging over the edge. I wear women's size 10 and it was perfect for me as well.

Question:	I wear boots that are roughly 18-20 inch calf circumference. Will this fit my calf/lower calf area
Answer:	This is the Short Pneumatic boot. I would not expect it to rise high enough to cover your calf. You'll need to specify a shoe size or aircast size if you want someone to measure the circumference for you, I've got a 21" calf circumference and it is a non-issue with the Large. These are pretty flexible on sizing, the limiting factor for you will be the width at the top of the boot (which is below the calf for me at 6'0"). For the Large: The top of the boot is 9" from the bottom of your heel (measuring the inside of the boot). The side-to-side diameter is 5" at the top, this is relatively inflexible (you can make it smaller with the strap, but not flex it bigger. Where the boot hits my leg is 13" in circumference, I've got a bit of room on the sides and plenty of room front to back (before tightening down the velcro).
Question:	Can you drive with this Aircast SP Walking Brace on your right foot
Answer:	It was very tricky. I ended up driving with my left foot most of the time because the width of the aircast would catch the brake while I was accelerating.
Question:	i wear a womens 8 would i need a small or a large
Answer:	I got the small and wear a 7 1/2 shoe. My toe hangs off the front. I have worn 7 1/2 shoes for many years, so I say go with a medium if you are an 8 or 8 1/2. Also, I do not have large calves, but the inside part barely covers my calf. If you have large calves, do not order this. Also, it has absolutely no arch support!!
