Question: Do these or any other jobst come in petite/short lengths? i'm used to medi which seem to have the most size variety. thx
Answer: The Jobst Relief, as well as other Jobst Thigh Hghs, are available in a Petite length. If they are not available on Amazon, you can order them directly through the Ames Walker website.
Question: Has the manufacturer changed? There seems to be a serious inconsistency in product. I’ve bought these every 2-3 months for over 2 yrs. fit & band
Answer: The manufacturer hasn't changed, but they moved manufacturing from North Carolina to Mexico about a year and a half ago. They had a rough start there but things are under control now.
Question: Has anyone compared these to Jobst opaque thigh highs? Do the opaque hold up to wear better, or do they simply look better
Answer: The color is MUCH better than the Jobst. I have not had my Hozier a long enough to answer with regard to durability but I wore them all day today and they were comfortable, they stayed up and they looked amazing for compression stockings!
Question: can someone direct me to size chart? I dont see it anywhere
Answer: It won't let me copy and paste the size chart image...but here's a link: http://www.compressionsale.com/jobst-relief-20-30-mmhg-closed-toe-garter-style-thigh-highs-no-grip-top.html

User questions & answers

Question: is this per each or pair
Answer: Pair
Question: where does it show what size I need? Example my length is 26" from the floor to my buttocks. Where do I find the chart
Answer: There is a great sizing guide included in most (not all, however) packages--which does not help you now. I have bought many brands of compression thigh-high stocking and consider Jobst brand by far the best: fit, comfort, long lasting, look and feel great. I have bought XL as I am overweight; having lost weight, I am ready to move down to size large. Consider what size you wear in stockings or pantyhose to use as a guide for your first purchase. Someone said there is a sizing chart on Jobst's Web Site. Hope this helps.
Question: Is there a sizing chart
Answer: On the Jobst website.

User questions & answers

Question: I ordered a size too small for my grandmother and I can’t make a return. Is there a way to exchange for a larger size
Answer: Most places you get them at will not return if box was opened. I always bought at a store.
Question: How many pairs of stockings does this pack include
Answer: There are two stockings - IE one pair per box. It is very important to always wear rubber gloves to put them on and take them off with!
Question: How do I know it's the right size
Answer: The size chart provided is very accurate. My stockings are a huge blessing, I cannot walk normally without them. Be sure to wash by hand and they will last much longer than if they go through the washer and dryer. Being a large lady, you would think I needed the large, but not according to the chart. Be sure to measure your calves and thighs and remember they are suppose to be tight otherwise they wouldn't be compression hose. God Bless.
Question: Is this the best Compression Socks brand? The quality of how
Answer: This is one of the best compression socks. The quality is very good and last a very long time.

  • COMPRESSION STOCKINGS RELIEF 30-40 KNEE HIGH CLOSED TOE BLK MD

User questions & answers

Question: how do you measure
Answer: You can do this yourself. A doc is only needed for a prescription if you are getting "fitted" compression stockings of greater than/equal to 40mmHg (~$300) or if you have arterial problems, i.e., Ankle-Brachial Index of less than 1. This is an easy test w/a BP monitor and 6th grade math. Test: Systolic ankle BP from the pulse on top of the foot. Systolic is the top number divided by the systolic brachial antecubital arm pulse BP--the way the nurse usually takes it. ) Sizing: Men and women's sizes are the the same. (The shape of the foot in the Men's stocking "looks" like a man's foot shape, but it changes with wear/washing.) Please note that some of these categories have overlaps and use common sense. These measurements are for the KNEE-HI STOCKINGS. The sizing chart is almost impossible to find, so here it is. I can't put it in chart form though. Please, don't just go by this info. Do your own due diligence and go to Jobst's website by Googling "sizing chart Jobst stockings" to doublecheck. Measure the ankle and calf in CENTIMETERS, not inches. Small: Ankle 18-21; calf 28-38. Medium: Ankle 21-25; calf 30-42. Large: Ankle 25-29; calf 32-46. X-Lg: Ankle 29-33; calf 34-50. Lg Full calf: Ankle: 25-30; calf 46-61. X-Lg Full calf: Ankle 30-36; calf 46-61. Please note that the calves on the Lg full calf and X-Lg full calf are exactly the same; it's the ankle's that are larger. It's not a typo. I copied this chart from the Jobst sizing chart in their website. Large Tall: (must have shoe size >12) Ankle 25-29; calf 32-46. And don't do like I did once and use the WRONG company's measurements when ordering. I was told that once you open the box, the company has to assume you tried it on, that it's against the law for them to take back the opened, and possibly infected, merchandise. A doctor may tell you that you need stockings, but it depends on the use. Remember, "TEDs are for beds." Thrombo-embolic stockings are for short-term use only. If you are going to be standing or sitting for long periods of time, the other types of compression stockings are more appropriate, and frankly, hold up better. (TEDs are softer, nowhere near as tight, and run like pantyhose...and bedbound patients are more likely to have a nurse or tech available to help them get them on.) Compression stockings are like an extra set of muscles in your legs. You have your heart to pump the blood to your extremities, but there is no heart down around your toes. You move, and the blood gets pushed up the veins. All you have between you and varicosities are your muscles and fallible little valves to keep the blood from falling back down to your feet and making them swell and turn purple. To all you computer warriors and couch potatoes, help your compression hose. Every time you have a commercial/pop-up ad while sitting there, get up and march in place! If you have trouble getting the hose off or on, there are devices out there to help you with that, too. Happy Shopping! :-D (And please forgive me for building a clock, when asked the time.)
Question: How are they sized, by shoe size or calf size
Answer: both
Question: What’s the difference in Jobst relief or Jobst
Answer: Not sure I understand your question..... sorry?
Question: What are the percentages of nylon, spandex, etc., and is there any cotton in these socks
Answer: I believe the percentages vary based on style Standard knee high 30 to 40 my is 46 nylon 35 polyester 14 spandex 5 wool. A Ti wear is 60 nylon 30 polyester 10 spandex. Cotton is not normally used in these products do to lack of durability and shrinkage. I hope these answers help with your questions

User questions & answers

Question: explain sizing small petite
Answer: I order the petite because I need a shorter stocking then the standard and by ordering it that way, that' what I get! The perfect size and length!
Question: How do you choose a size
Answer: If you mean size such as small, medium or large, etc. you have to measure your leg. There should be a chart on Amazon that helps with that. If you mean how much of a compression you need 15-20 mmHg, 20-30 mmHg, there are charts for that as well (https://compressionstockingsstore.com/pages/how-to-choose-right-compression-stockings). I will add that the JOBST thigh highs I ordered and used since total knee replacement surger, for swelling, are a moderate compression and have held up excellently through lots of washings and daily wearing. Take your time and measure before ordering.
Question: How do I determine size
Answer: Proper sizing is based on the measurement of the circumference of your ankle/calf/thigh for these thigh high stockings. Once you measure this, refer to the size chart within the pictures on the listing. Thank you for the question.
Question: What color is multicolor
Answer: Not sure...I didnt know it came "multicolor"...I thought it just came in white or skin tone color...

Answer: You measure your leg around the calf muscle.. Call the doctor who prescribed the socks or talk to most any pharmacy give them the diameter measurement and they should be able to tell you the proper size.
Question: I have skinny legs, size 11 shoe, will they fit
Answer: I'm not sure. They didn't fit properly because there was extra fabric by the little toe that rubbed on it so I sent mine back.
