Answer:	I’ve only had the chair for a week, but I find it very comfortable. I bought it because of back pain brought on by working from home in my thrown together office. I’ve only had it a week and I am sitting better, straighter, and my hips are in alignment. It took a bit to get the chair adjusted to my liking - but it is really adjustable, so that helps. I wish the knee/shin pads were more of a cloth-like fabric, as my shins sometimes stick to the pads. All in all, great value, easy customization, and comfort for the price.

Answer:	Not sure it would "work" /support in the same manner when being semi-reclined on a sofa with your legs extended straight in front of you as it does when sitting upright in a chair with your legs bent and feet on the floor. It would still "cradle" the hip area and provide support to the hips, as well as relieving some pressure from the tail bone (coccyx) area. I use this primarily in my office chair. Sorry I can't provide better input.

Answer:	Hello. I have two of the backjoy supports. One is cushioned and encased in a rubber type coating. The other one is the tech gel, which is all acrylic (thin hard plastic type). I don't see why either cushion wouldn't be fine for use in the hot tub. Just know, that at some point, it will break down from the hot water. Hey, if it makes your back feel more comfortable... *It has made such a difference for me on long car trips. Worth a try.

Mackenzie has a whole line of support products, and a regular firmness lumbar roll. Firm was just recommend to my 280 lbs self for better posture from my chiropractor.
