Answer:	if the park is paved, it would push easily and can get through places that a regular wheelchair wouldn't fit. It doesn't work very well on carpet or yard, etc. It would fit an 8 yr old very well. The seat belt would keep them safely in the seat. The footrest isn't adjustable, but if they can't reach it, there is nothing for them to hit their feet on. I would suggest some kind of padded seat as the one it comes with isn't very thick. It only weighs around 17 lbs., folds easily and certainly takes up less room than a wheelchair.

Answer:	It's a really good size for a child. Not sure if they could reach the non-adjustable foot rest, but there is nothing for them to hit their feet on if they are just hanging (not for extended periods of course). From the seat to the top of armrest is 10", so you would have to check to see if a child's arms would rest comfortably on them and not too high on their sides.. Would definitely use the seat belt Maneuvers well around things, and goes through doorways very easily. Doesn't go really well on carpet, but is very easy to move on plain floors.

Answer:	Depends on the person - more suitable for a smaller person who'd have no problem getting in sideways and swinging legs to front - it's a nice item but we returned it immediately because of the fixed footrest. Brakes were not especially strong and armrests (which do flip up) would not be comfortable for long. It folds up small and relatively light, so I wish they'd fix the couple design flaws. Good Luck!

Answer:	The iron rod you would purchase is called ReBar. Find it in the concrete/cement isle of any Lowes, Home Depot, or similar home improvement store. It comes in lengths from 12" to several feet and diameters of 3/8 and 1/2 inch. For this project, you would purchase two 12" lengths of 1/2" diameter. It's nominal in price: two pieces will cost under $5. Tip: When the manufacture cuts these to length, the blade doesn't necessarily cut clean, leaving a little bend or curl at the end. Sort through the stack to pick out pieces that are fairly straight. Otherwise, they may not easily slip into the base pipe you wish to fill. And wear gloves... ReBar is rusty nasty to handle.
