Question:	Do these make a lot of noise in the dryer
Answer:	They make noise, but nothing to crazy the are balls in the dryer I wouldn't expect and less

Answer:	I probably used them for several hundred loads (not sure the exact amount). I left them in the dryer at all times, for all types of different clothing, towels, etc and never had a problem. I finally had to replace them after 8 months (purchased in April, replaced in Dec same year) which was perfectly fine with me. I knew I needed to replace when they left linty residue behind on a load of shirts for the first time ever (looked like I owned an animal which we don't). I recently bought a different brand (hand made in the USA) and was really disappointed. Looks like they will shed after only a couple uses. I am back to buy these again instead. Just wish they made the dark wool one's so I could alternate & stretch out the usage longer!

Answer:	We've been using dryer balls for years. I've found that help with static, it's best to use all 6, and never less than 4. Anything less than 4, and the static is horrible.

Then Patty makes a big breakfast for her and her cats before sending them off with the neighbor Albert who quickly drops them off at the Nepal version of USPS. They quickly rush them to China where they take a slow boat to the United States once orders come in.

Question:	Can you add a scent oil to the Dryer balls
Answer:	I have a glass jar with lid, that I store them in, testing on top of some marbles. I’m the jar is a 3:3:1 of rose water, rubbing alcohol, and aloe gel, with a essential oil mixture (cedar, chamomile, cinnamon, patchouli, lavender). I keep this on the dryer so it heats up and the balls soak up the perfume through closed environment and condensation. It’s been a favorite new improvement to our house, my boyfriend complimented the freshness.

Question:	Just received these and they have a funny smell. Should I wash them before using them in the dryer
Answer:	I make dryer balls myself and you do not need to wash them. They do need to be dry to work well in the dryer. You can (like suggested) use essential oil for fragrance. Wool that has been washed does not smell to good. Over time it will go away. If you notice any static, put a little white vinegar at the beginning of your wash cycle. I have used mine to 3 1/2 years and have no static in my clothes. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Most as I’m just learning (lil quick research) can say they are NZ wool BUT they may process n make the end products in China and who knows what chemicals or processing they’re using to clean the wool and what environment. I ALMOST went for the cheapest ones but like nutmilk bags, even “organic” ones are ordered from alibaba (they have Chinese connections), say products are organic but aren’t certified and will use pieces that aren’t organic and glued n synthetics...some ppl really care about the process, the planet and the chemicals and end products used. Things should be transparent but usually aren’t as most don’t know or knowingly scam ppl. Unfortunately China is pretty polluted and practices are questionable as well, not just to the environment but their own people as well and that’s why certifications help and it’s upto you if you still wanna go that route. But if u are trying to avoid chemicals and help the planet, it is a lil harder of trying to buy something you think is good (not you specifically but generally ppl), but then may not know or find out later that it’s not truly 100% what was expected like fully organic and environmentally friendly as much as possible. Answer:	I know its been years since this question was asked. But incase someone is still looking for the same answer. 5-6 balls are recommended per load with the dryer filled no more than 75%. No matter which brand you use , they all have the same information regarding how many balls to use and the dryer capacity. A little fun tidbit. Answer:	They are made in New Zealand. Not sure where they ship from.
Question:	I have an extreme amount of static. If I don't use dryer sheets, the clothes are not wearable from static. Will the balls eliminate dryer static
Answer:	They do help, but don't over dry your items. Some items I never dry in the dryer, such as nylon or rayon. But as far as cottons, jeans, slacks. I haven't had a problem with static. Just use common sense and you should have no problems using the dryer balls. I do sprinkle a drop or two of esssential oils on the balls to put a little fragrance on the clothes, especiallly my husbands work clothes. I usually use lemon, lavendar, or tangerine.

Answer:	The number of balls I use depends on the size of the load. I use 4 for small, 4 to 5 for medium and 6 for large. It's my understanding that they can last for 2 years depending on use. This is an experiment for me and so far so good. It lessens the dry time, the clothes seem to be less wrinkled and there is no smell/odor from the wool.

Answer:	The wool is from NZ but based on the horrible English translation in the instructions, I’d bet they’re NOT made there.

Question:	How many balls do you use in the dryer per load
Answer:	I use 2-3 for small/medium loads and 4-6 for medium/large loads. I found on small loads if I put all of them in it would cause the dryers moisture sensor to think the clothes were dry before they really were. I will add that i have an extra large dryer. If yours is small you would probably never use all.
Question:	Where are these made
Answer:	I am wondering this as well. Especially after reading the packaging, which is full of spelling and grammar mistakes, typical of cheap items from a few non-English-speaking countries like China. Red flags, considering they make it very clear the item is from New Zealand, all over the item packaging and item titles at shops online. At best, it seems like NZ ships a bunch of wool to China, and this is one of the end products.

Answer:	Absolutely! Drying and fluffing my down comforter was the initial reason I purchased dryer balls (and now I use them for all my laundry). Prior to using dryer balls, I used to have to squeeze out excess water before putting in dryer with a few dry towels to absorb excess water and tennis balls to fluff it up (and it still took FOREVER to dry). Now, I can put it straight from washer to dryer (no squeezing or towels required), and the dryer balls absorb the excess water, hastening drying time and ensuring that every last feather is dried. No more tennis balls needed either, because the dryer balls redistribute the down feathers evenly and makes the comforter so fluffy that it is practically bursting out of my dryer! A few pieces of advice regarding washing your down: - Use an oversized or front-loading washing machine, without an agitator. - Wash your down comforter in cold water using a mild detergent and make sure it is rinsed thoroughly as to not leave any detergent residue. - Your down comforter may have a strong odor when wet, but that will go away once dry. - The down fill absorbs a lot of water, so your comforter will feel extremely heavy and wet when you remove it from your washing machine. Answer:	They're not scented. I add some solid scent booster in the rinse and that's enough for clothing to be perfumed till they're dry

Question:	I used these for the first time and my clothes are so staticky how can I fix that problem
Answer:	Try drying at lower temperature. It is possible the heat was so hot it fused the wool. Oil balls work great. I use a self regulating LG that senses dryer temperature and adjusts. I have used the wool balls with Demim jeans that do require hotter longer drying time with no problem. You might check to how hot your dryer gets. If running hot for some time your gas or electric bill is likely impacted as well

Answer:	I've owned sheep for many years. Wool is collected by sheering or clipping off the wool. It must be done once per year in the spring for most wool producing sheep all over the world. The wool is then graded, cleaned and used for appropriate functions: making yarn for clothing and carpets, stuffing, and now dryer balls. The sheep MUST be shorn and there's many ways to do it. In the hands of an expert the sheering takes 2- 5 minutes and the sheep is not harmed at all. Young sheep may get frightened but the older more experienced sheep are completely relaxed throughout. In the hands of an amateur, the sheering can take much longer and the risk of injury increases. The sheering blades are sharp and can nick the skin very easily. The "cruelty" videos are of young and inhumane amateur handlers that are completely clueless as to how to sheer sheep. Cruelty can be found all over the world but that is not the norm in the industry. In New Zealand, there are more sheep than people. If you go there, you'll find that most of the ranchers are expert sheerers and their sheep are amazingly well cared for and happy. I'm sure cruel practices happen, but sheep owners care about their sheep and would quickly fire any handler mistreating their stock.
