Answer:	"Septic safe" on the box means it won't corrode pipes and concrete (tank). That misses the essential element, will it disturb the ecology of the tank (kill the bacteria that are essential for septic operation). Caustic materials like drain cleaner are very bad for your septic, bleach not so bad probably because of the dilution in the washer. I am relating here the information conveyed to me by my county department of licenses and inspection septic system expert and a licensed septic inspector. So the anlswer depends on the materials used, which are not stated anywhere. 7 months is not sufficient time to evaluate. You don't want to learn after three years that you've poisoned the system and clogged the drainage field, requiring a $8,000 to $10,000 job to replace something that should have lasted 40 years. Here's what's in it according to the safety data sheet supplied by Whirlpool via Home Depot: Polyoxy(methyl-1,2-ethanediyl), a-hydro-w-hydroxy- 1% Sodium Carbonate Peroxyhydrate 50% - 70% Boric Acid 20% - 30% Sodium Carbonate 20% - 30% Tetrasodium EDTA 1% Most of these are found in everyday laundry detergent. Tetrasodium EDTA is a preservative. The long weird name stuff is the joker in the mix, perhaps more research is needed. I'm not sure I will risk using this in my washer, as I try to take good care of my septic system. Question:	Is this product okay for HE washers
Answer:	Since I have a Maytag HE washer and have used this product with excellent success. I would say yes. Answer:	I am very sensitive to fragrances, but this product does not bother my eyes or skin. I have used monthly in an empty front loading HE washer for 7 months. The washer smells fresh & clean, but not objectionable at all. I highly recommend this product.

Answer:	The box does not say if any ingredients were tested on animals. The ingredients are: Sodium percarbonate, Sodium carbonate, Glucono-delta-lactone, Polyethylene glycol, Sodium acetate, and Fragrance. Affresh products are made by Whirlpool so I checked their safety data sheet (www.affresh.com/sds). The fragrance was tested using IFRA standards. The IFRA website (https://ifrafragrance.org/search?indexCatalogue=general-search&searchQuery=Animal) says they are incorporating non-animal testing, but it appears they are just now in transition. Question:	When I put powder directly in the drum it falls through the holes when the drum turns, before the water starts filling. Help
Answer:	I had a 9 year old Samsung front loader that I cleaned once a month with vinegar and baking soda using the sanitize cycle. About a month ago I heard a loud bang and the drum started scraping the sides. I called the repairman and he said he thought the repair would run about $400. That was too much so I gave the machine to a guy and he took it apart and found the spider-arm (holds the drum) had shattered. That's what the repairman thought it was. Answer:	I have never noticed a scent after the Affresh cycle. So it is scent free in that any residual scents or smells from a month's worth of washes are removed after the Affresh cycle. This is a good product that we have used since buying our new washing machine 2 years ago.

Answer:	NO! Package includes 1 pair of blue light reading glasses, 1 pair of outdoor reading glasses and 1 pair of bifocal reading glasses blocking blue light. Only 1 pair bifocal reading glasses.
Question:	is it going to work in a cold water
Answer:	There is no distance part -- just the magnified bifocal. The upper part of the lens is like a regular non-strength "fake" lens -- just clear, so you would see through it normally. The bottom bifocal part is the only part that's magnified.
Question:	The active ingredient is not listed. Does anyone know what it is
Answer:	5-1/2 wide and 1-1/2 high if your talking about the actual frame that you see when looking head on. They are regular size and not to small or to bug eyed big either. The arms that go over your ears go back 5-1/2 _6 inches.

About Smelly Washer

We created the first washing machine deodorizer, Smelly Washer Cleaner (formerly Purewasher), in 2005 after our founder, Paul Flynn, noticed a need for something customers could use regularly to remove the stinky residue left behind when washing laundry in both regular and high-efficiency washing machines. This residue often led to a mildew or mold odor in the machines themselves as well as on towels and other laundry and sometimes even throughout the entire home.

Question:	Can this be used to clean the mold in the washing machine
Answer:	Good Afternoon. RMR-86 should not be used on anything metal, as it is corrosive. RMR-141 could be used to clean the area and kill the mold, but will not remove the stains. If you have any further questions, feel free to call 866-822-8744 or email [email protected]
Question:	Would this work on a memory foam mattress
Answer:	I wouldn't recommend using any liquid period on a memory foam mattress. Moisture can ruin the foam and not just aestheticly. Think about a kitchen sponge, it never fully recovers to original form once wet and gets worse over time....that's essentially what you're doing to your bed.
Question:	My cleaning lady likes to use bleach to clean - is this an effective alternative? Thanks
Answer:	The active ingredient in liquid bleach is sodium hypochlorite. The active ingredient in this product is sodium hypochlorite, so it's the same thing, not an alternative. I don't understand why people would pay $17 for 1/4 gallon of bleach and some added surfactant myself. I can buy 5 gallons of 12.5% sodium hypochlorite locally that is a day old or less (bleach degrades and weakens over time and is typically too weak to sanitize around the house about 90 days after it is bought off the store shelf per EPA standards). For the same $17 and have 20x as much, fresher and MUCH stronger than what this is for the same money because this product is probably about 5% or less sodium hypochlorite. I didn't see what percentage of active ingredient was in this product, and I'm assuming that is on purpose.
Question:	Does this kill Black mold or does it just beach it
Answer:	we had a bunch of black mold on one spot of our house when we moved it. Power washed it, bleached it, tried 30 second stuff and nothing. It just kept coming back. We got this and almost a year later it is still gone. It did take about 3 times spraying it but it was a huge and thick spot. We did not scrub at all due to how high the spot was

Question:	Is it non-toxic/eco-friendly
Answer:	I does NOT smell like bleach, however, it does have a very strong, clean smell, almost like an industrial clean. This is fine for me because I want my machine clean. This item has been the #1 product to deal with any kind of smell coming from a front load washer. I would suggest running a rinse cycle after to dilute the scent left behind and get rid of any possible residual cleaning debris. Leave the door open afterward and the smell will dissipate after a few days, the drum will remain smelling clean without any moldy or mildew odor. The product works. Those complaining just don't want to wait a bit to use the machine again or run a rinse cycle after, which is fine, that's their preference. I have used many machine cleaning products, none work like this and the ones with pretty scents leave a film all over the machine and cause more mold to accumulate.
Question:	Does this work on a top load washer
Answer:	I think Tide worked better than any other product for me. I used 4 different kinds of cleaners but Tide seems to keep the smell away and I use it at least once a month and clean the rubber around the front of the washer with vinegar and hot water. I have to say I am disappointed in my front load washer. I was so excited to finally get one and now I will be so excited when I can get rid of it!
Question:	Is it scent free? If not, is there a scent free he washer cleaner
Answer:	Hey there, The purpose of OxiClean Washing Machine Cleaner is to help remove residues from the machine that cause malodor. We don’t have data on this product removing hard water stains.
Question:	Why doesn't the affresh tablet dissolve completely? Each time I use it I have about one half of the tablet left
Answer:	That's the point. You want the powder to go in the holes. That's where the dirt and grime build up is.
