Question:	For a product that claims ecofriendliness why did you switch to a packing material that cannot be recycled
Answer:	Charlie’s Soap is packaged in either recycled or minimal plastic to ensure the product’s integrity in transport and longevity in your home. Cardboard doesn't hold up, glass is too expensive, and bioplastics are unproven. #7 plastics are recyclable in some communities and we do offer the product in 100 load refillable jars that are reusable and #2 recyclable. The large plastic bucket this product used to ship in proved problematic in shipping damages during transit by the carriers, necessitating a packaging change to keep product and shipping costs low. But, we are always looking for a better way, and continue our research and development looking for a practical alternative.
Question:	Not nice, your new packaging costs double, why is that? Please bring back the 5 gal tub
Answer:	The new package still contains the 1200 loads. You get 4 of the 300 load bags in one big box.
Question:	Is this packaging recyclable
Answer:	Yes and no. More and more recycling centers are taking film-like packaging -- No. 7 stuff, which is what Charlie's is packaged in -- but many towns do not. Check with your municipality to be sure.
Question:	Would I need to use a fabric softener with this soap
Answer:	I've never used fabric softeners; just don't care for them personally. And I hang my clothes on the line, so the towels are pretty crunchy. This soap is perfect for me because it has no scent and a little goes a long way. I also feel it is better for my septic system.

Question:	Is this a two pack or just one
Answer:	Thought I was getting 2 (per the picture and price) but only one bag showed up. If I wanted 1 bag, I would have ordered a single bag for $16. The warehouse label on the protective bag this came in clearly said "2 Pack" but there was only one 2.64 lb bag of soap in it. Could have been a fulfillment issue rather than a vendor issue. YMMV. Amazon customer service was helpful in correcting this.

Summer play provides plenty of exercise – but also opportunities for accidents and injuries. Once you take care of the boo-boo, here are some tips for cleaning up the aftermath:

• The quicker you can treat the stain, the better. If you are unable to launder the garment immediately, leave it to soak in a pan full of cold water.
• Turn the fabric so the stain is face-down and rinse it from the back.
• Never wash a blood stain in warm or hot water, which may cause it to bond permanently to the fibers of the fabric.
• Always check the instructions on the garment’s care label; dry-clean only items need to be professionally cleaned soon after treating the stain.

Dirty Laundry and Kids

If your teen isn’t doing their own laundry, now is the time to teach them – before they return home from college with a sack of laundry so large it racks up excess baggage fees.

Here are some tips to help establish a regular laundry routine:

• Place laundry baskets in every bedroom and bathroom. Divided hampers are useful for sorting colors and whites.
• Label dresser drawers and install low closet rods, so children can put away clothes themselves.
• Explain the difference between dirty clothes and those that have been worn but are wearable again.
• Clip clothespins to the side of every hamper and teach kids to use them to mark stains.
