Answer:	Toss it directly into drum BEFORE loading clothes. I only use pods now and love them. Instructions read somewhere, "do not place in liquid chamber." If you already use Persil liquid, I would recommend the "original" square shaped blue/green formulated pods. They are the far more similar to the liquid formula. These disks are WAY overpowering in a smell that is like no other Persil product. Had to give my disks away and go back to the original scented pods, which leave my clothes smelling like fresh new money! 😊

Answer:	Neither of the previously submitted answers are correct. This particular mount uses a circular adhesive dashboard mounting disk to hold the mount onto the dashboard. The disk is the flat, circular, black item shown in the picture. We were one of the very first companies to introduce the adhesive mounting disks way back in 2003. On the top of the disk is a smooth, flat surface in which the suction mount can be attached to, very similar to a flat surface on a windshield. The other side of the disk has high-quality 3M adhesive. You peel away the paper on the adhesive and then stick the disk to the surface on your dashboard. This makes it a semi-permanent to permanent installation. It should be noted that the adhesive mounting disks definitely get the job done, but they are older technology. ARKON also was one of the original innovators of the newer-style "Sticky" suction mounts. Unlike the adhesive dashboard disks, the "sticky suction" mounts can be removed and re-applied to the dashboard. I personally use one of our ARKON sticky suction mounts, our newest model SM679.
