Answer:	Toss it directly into drum BEFORE loading clothes. I only use pods now and love them. Instructions read somewhere, "do not place in liquid chamber." If you already use Persil liquid, I would recommend the "original" square shaped blue/green formulated pods. They are the far more similar to the liquid formula. These disks are WAY overpowering in a smell that is like no other Persil product. Had to give my disks away and go back to the original scented pods, which leave my clothes smelling like fresh new money! 😊

Answer:	I was surprised to see NO instructions on the bottle. I just add a little to the regular detergent to sanitize in the wash cycle, not rinse cycle. There are other sanitizers that say to put in rinse cycle in order to leave something in the fabric to prevent germs/bacteria, etc. from contaminating fabric. I don't want anything left in my clothes/towels/sheets that might irritate skin...I just want to know that everything is sanitized. Use bleach on whites > it sanitizes, then gets rinsed out. Use this on dark colors > it sanitizes, then gets rinsed out.

Answer:	Sandy, On my 41 fl. oz. bottle, the instructions are inside the rear label, between the two layers. Separating the layers is a PITA, but once you do, it'll tell you to use TWO capfuls to line one for top-loading washers or two capfuls to line two for front-loading washers. Note that the "lines" are the tops of the vertical bars inside the cap. Line one is indicated by three vertical bars that end near the rim. Line two is indicated by THREE vertical bars that end well below the rim. Two fills to line 1 (higher line) is about 2/3 cup (5.33 fl oz). Two fills to line 2 (lower line) is about 3.5 fl oz. It says to put it in the rinse cycle and that the rinse cycle should be at least 16 minutes. Be careful putting the second capful into your fabric softener dispenser, because the dispenser may not hold enough (you can try removing the dispenser tray and dumping out excess water before putting any products into it for the load, if you have that style of dispenser). When are Bacteria Encountered?

Answer:	It has a very subtle fragrance when you pour in in the washer...but you can not smell it on your clothing

Answer:	Not exactly an answer, but I sometimes use it as a soak before washing. It works great this way! So I would bet it would be just fine for hand washing.
Question:	What is the difference in purpose, usage and effect between the active wash and the performance wash
Answer:	Active Wash is used for base layers and exercise apparel (Lululemon type) and attacks the bacteria that causes odors. It also improve breathability and wicking. Tide and the regular detergents just mask them with perfume. Performance Wash is or outerwear (non down). It will not strip the DWR (durable water repellent) for the article. Active Wash will strip the DWR and should not be used on outerwear. Performance Wash (or Down Wash for down articles) are perfect washes to use before re-waterproofing with Grangers Performance Repel Plus or Clothing Repel
Question:	Can this product be used in high efficiency washers
Answer:	I think it’s made for HE washers. I’ve been using it in my HE washer for years. I love this stuff. It gets and keeps the skink out. I rarely recommend stuff but I do recommend this product
