Answer:	Yes, it worked on my furniture. I did do a test spot on each different fabric in a hidden area 1st to verify it would not affect the fabric. Some of the newer HIGH end designer furniture uses a vegetable dye, and not even plain water is safe. But most of the vegetable dyed fabrics are marked clearly so you are aware of the potential damage from ANY liquid. I have 4 dogs and there are times they get on my furniture before I get it covered when they are in the LR. The reason I am mentioning that is because this product COMPLETELY removed the paw prints and dirt, perfectly. I recommend IF you do a test area 1st!

And when you use it on carpet, I find that you really have to watch where the spot is and start dabbing in because in a very short amount of time you don't notice the spot anymore. I don't notice any smell - maybe a pleasant one. This is the best I have found by far. Wish it was cheaper and offered more places. I contacted the company to inquire because the product is that good - worth the extra effort to find it.

I have a very soft carpet that I use this on and it keeps my carpet looking white without making it stiff from cleaning it. I also have dogs and it does not have any affect on them whatsoever. Answer:	Having never used the Oxy Deep cleaner, I am not sure that my answer can help; however, I will tell you that the InstaClean Permanent Stain Remover is outstanding. I have used it on cotton, twill, polyester, nylon blends, and who knows what else with outstanding results. I trust it so much that I have a bottle downstairs and one upstairs. Since I have a new puppy, I find a need for it on my small rugs. I have hardwood floors so I do not need it for carpets. I have even cleaned his deep shag bed with perfect results. Not sure if this helps, but I wish you luck.
