Answer:	The directions say to apply after you've washed the floor. You'd probably be ok to do it in steps if you have a way to stay off the "cleaned" areas. I personally think it would be best to polish soon after washing so you don't get any dust/dirt with your polish. (Besides that, the cleaner smell is a little strong so I would rather get it all finished at once.)

Answer:	I vacumn the floors and go over them with my dust mop and then apply the product. Our floors are 126 yrs old and they look newer than my floor in the kitchen that was put down 13 yrs ago. You can wash your floors with your mixture. It would not hurt to do that. This is the best product I have used thus far. Better than the Quick Shine in the Green bottle....stick with this one. It is far better

Answer:	No, you do not want to buff this product. The product is a coating not a wax. If you want to buff your floors there are products you can put down that require buffing to make them shine, this product does not. Just clean the floor, apply the product and let it dry.

Answer:	Of course you can, but it is not a good idea on certain types of tile, you didn't say what kind of tile you are talking about. There are many different kinds of tile, porous wall tiles like terracotta, for instance, that absorb water would likely darken, some would say this permanently damages them. I would not use this product on anything other than what it is designed to be used for, which is a no-wax floor. There are many sealers that give a 'wet look' to tile floors that last for many many years, decades even. This product works on no-wax floors but like the no-wax floor itself, eventually the shine starts to dull or fade and you need a new application. This product on a no-wax floor is time and money well spent. I have a no-wax floor that is 35 years old and this product makes it look almost brand new.

Answer:	We use this to clean our travertine floors. I don't think the unit rotates fast enough to sand wood floors. You would be better off renting the commercial sander from Home Depot.

Answer:	Others have given the basic answer. The basic Oreck Orbiter is only 1/3 HP. I wouldn't get that. The Ultra is 1/2 HP. The commercial is 3/4 HP. The commercial also has longer power cord. Note that while the commercial only has a 1 year warranty "overall", the motor is 5 years. And that is the only significant part on the whole thing! What else is there? The handle, power switch and housing. If anything went wrong on that after a year, I could fix it myself. So, to me, the commercial has effectively a 5 year warranty as only the motor is particularly significant.

Answer:	Not sure about laminate floors. I've never read the back concerning that flooring. As far as how one applies it I find is a personal choice. You can use a swiffer pad or a sponge mop. The mop takes more times as you have to wash afterwards. But the sponge mop I think applies it more evenly as floors are not even. It's up to the individual.

Answer:	Yes, I did. I read he instructions and just mopped it on with one of those string mops and let it dry. I don't think I diluted it with water.

Answer:	I used it on stained concrete tile floors, and liked it. But the packaging says that, among other surfaces, it is also good for varnished wood.

Answer:	It actually holds up really well on floors, so I would say that using it on a table top would be fine. It would give the table top a protective layer and a beautiful shine. Just keep in mind that you would probably need to re-apply it every once in a while to maintain the luster and repair damage as it occurs from daily use.

Question:	I received my products and I noticed that the oil is labeled as step 2 and the wax as step 3. I have no idea what step 1 is :( Any tips for a novice
Answer:	Step 1 is a soap they also sell. But you can basically just wash your cutting board with your normal dish soap, dry it well, and then use the oil & wax from Clark's
Question:	If i am wood burning pre treated spoons, and need to treat the area that i wood burned, do i still need the whole kit or can i just get the wax
Answer:	Without seeing your burn work, I can only guess. However, it seems safe to assume that the burn destroys any surface treatment which was already there. Maybe you are decorating the spoons, or burning a name or message into them. I suppose they may be serving spoons, yes? If you are really concerned about the burned areas may be saturated in use, then it makes sense to re-treat them with all stages- oil and wax. If you don’t anticipate so much exposure, maybe it’s not critical. For myself, I bought the whole kit, knowing that I would continue to have use for it, re-conditioning used wooden cutting boards and serving spoons. Question:	Is this scented with essential oils or synthetic fragrance
Answer:	We only use all natural essential oils in all of our products.
Question:	Besides the color, what is the difference between this white sponge applicator and the new round black applicator sold on amazon
Answer:	We switched over to the black foam because the white foam had a tendency to yellow over time which we didn't like.

How to Care for Your Cutting Board in 3 Easy Steps!

Proper maintenance of your cutting board, butcher block, or other wood kitchen surfaces can give them a lifetime of use. Follow 3 simple steps:

STEP 1: Clean your cutting board with soap that contains natural ingredients

STEP 2: Preserve your cutting board with the highest grade of cutting board oil

STEP 3: Protect your board with a wax finish made from bees-wax and a generous amount of Carnauba

STEP 1: Clean your cutting board the natural way! No animal by-products (Vegan) and no artificial thickeners or gels.

Regular cleaning of your cutting board or wood kitchen items is critical to the health and safety of your family, friends, or guests.

Step 2: Condition with CLARK'S Cutting Board Oil

Apply a generous amount of oil evenly to the wood surface and allow it to penetrate for 1-2 hours. Make sure you oil all sides.

If conditioning wood for the first time, apply oil several times over a 24 hour period. Your new board may be very thirsty and may absorb a lot of oil.

Wipe off any excess oil and move on to Step 3 (protecting your board with CLARK'S Wax).

Step 3: Protect with Finish

Bring that shine and luster back to your cutting boards. CLARK’S oil and wax are great because they won’t cause your wood to lose color or become rancid.

EASY TO APPLY – Simply rub the wax on your wood surface, let it sit for 30 minutes and buff off any excess wax. Use the CLARK’S applicator and buffing pad designed specifically to make this task even easier!
