Answer:	Personally I use Evapo Rust because its cheaper, biodegradable, safe if contact occurs with your skin or eyes, you can use it on all metals such as chrome which this you can't, and it's safe for painted surfaces where this product you can't. The cost difference varies from place to place. On Amazon this product is between $3-10.00 more than E.R. It also comes in a 3-gallon container with a dipping basket, which is very handy. I use gloves, but you can dip your hand in or scrub the object right in the solution. E.R. can be reused over and over and I've had the same 3 gallons for 3 years! I restore metal woodworking tools on an average of 3-4 tools/day. Now that longevity!! I would recommend getting E.R. in the 3-gallon container if you can afford it, and you plan to use it often enough to justify the price of $35-$55.00. And no I don't work for E.R., lol. Good luck.

Answer:	I guess that would depend on how heavily rusted it is....But this stuff WORKS! I've used it on rusty car and motorcycle parts, and it too the rust off. Answer:	Metal Rescue only works on iron and steel. If you're talking about iron or steel items that have been exposed to high temperatures or a flame then yes Metal Rescue will dissolve the rust on the surface but it can't do anything about pitting, etching or other surface damage caused by the heat. Any other metal like silver, brass, gold etc Metal Rescue will not have any affect on. Boric acid such as flux? I doubt it would help at all.
Question:	what should you clean the gel off with before painting
Answer:	The directions say not to let parts soak for more than 24 hours at a time. With that said, assuming you fill the tank enough to soak all of the rusted areas AND do the treatment with an ambient temperature of at least 68° (above 75° works faster) it will work. If it's heavily rusted you may need to treat it multiple times. As far as not taking the tank of, so long as you can drain all of the rust remover and the water that is used to deactivate it you'll be good to go (ensure you flush the tank with gasoline at the end).

Answer:	Hi there. If at all possible, I would put it back in the jug it came in. My personal experience with putting it into a mason jar was the lid actually would rust. This is because there is no protective coating on the lid. The liquid opens the pores in metal and if there is any moisture in the air, the metal will rust quickly. CLR may etch older sinks, tubs and tiles. CLR is corrosive. Avoid contact with wood, clothing, wallpaper and carpeting. Some laminated surfaces (counter tops) are coated with a synthetic surface which may be affected by rust removers; clean spills immediately. Answer:	Any metal capable of rust will be prone to rust if exposed to humid environments. The simple solution is after cleaning with EvapoRust is painting it to protect it.

Answer:	With the evapo rust, you need to make sure there are no oils, grease, etc prior to being on the metal when you soak the evapo rust. Once you soak the evapo rust and the rust has been removed, the product has done its job. You do want to wash it off afterwards and dry it. To keep it from re rusting is another problem in of itself. We have a product called rust block that comes in either a trigger spray or aerosol can. Spray a layer of it on there and it will keep the object from re- rusting for up to a year

Answer:	Yes. You can "paint " it on with a small brush. It might take a couple applications. The cooler the temperature the less the permatex will run.
Question:	What's the safest way to dispose of this stuff? Can I flush it, and if so, should I dilute it first
Answer:	I used this on my Hyundai Tiburon and i got some rust remover on the paint. Nothing happened too the paint and it has been 6months since i used it. Still no affect on the paint. I dont know for sure if this will guarentee your paint though. Did remove the rust very well though! Had to reapply 3 times but all the rust came off. Hope this helps!
Question:	I have two windshield wiper arms I can't remove from the car without breaking and replacements are rare. Can this treat rust in place
Answer:	Absolutely,. it will work on your rust issue. Just make sure to cover the area that you apply the Metal Rescue gel with a piece of plastic wrap sheet that fully covers it to prevent the gel from drying out before it can remove the rust. Since your rust is very light at the moment, it should only take the gel a half hour to an hour to completely remove the rust. Once the gel is removed, you must protect the bare metal area with a rust inhibitor or some touch-up paint. In fact, I just removed some light rust that was appearing on the trunk hinge on my FR-S a few months ago. It removed the rust (it was in a hard to get at area, but, the plastic wrap easily formed around it and kept the gel from drying out) and I coated the exposed metal area with some touch-up paint and it looks perfect. It's always better to correct rust issues when it first appears because the rust hasn't had enough time to etch deeply into the metal.
Question:	When using this on a car does any paint come off
Answer:	Metal Rescue is a rust remover. You know that brass will tarnish and possibly corrode, but, I do not know if Metal Rescue is formulate to remove corrosion on brass. you should go to the manufacturer's website and pose your question there. It may answered in their FAQ section. Good luck.

Answer:	My guess is there are better liquid based solutions, e.g. synthetic oil.

Answer:	You can severely dilute it and pour it down the sink and let the hot water run for another 5 minutes afterwards. It’s just a mild acid solution lol it’s not plutonium.
