Answer:	I have an old EBL charger and a newer one. I like the older better. If batteries are 95% dead, yes mine will take 8 hrs to charge. I have has a couple batts go 100% dead and it took 8 hrs and a 24 hr rest and another 2/3 hours on my older charger to get them to 100%. My older EBL charger is slower and that is so much better for the battery than fast charging in my experience. Also, not every rechargeable battery is exactly the same IMO. Good Luck

Answer:	For me it’s been about 8 hours for the light to turn green on the charger.

Question:	Are the 3000mah ebl brc 18650 batteries available anymore? ten times the capacity
Answer:	To charge new batteries I would recommend about 10-12 hours but you will get full-scale indications before that time is up. After the first charge, following charges will be shorter. I would not keep batteries in the charger for long periods to 'keep them charged'. Batteries will get warm when charging, but once fully charged they should cool off. I assume you are referring to 1000mah which is the capacity rating of the battery. The higher the rating, the longer they will last in your device. Charge rate is set by the charger. :-) MAH is milli-amp hours, that is 1/1000th of an amp.
Question:	I'm confused, I e these in 350mah and then others saying 3500mah, any chance this is a measuring thing I don't understand and they're the same? Thank
Answer:	Just finished testing the first 4 of a new batch of AAA-1100 mAh that arrived two days ago. Conducted two NOR TEST cycles (charge, discharge, charge) on a Zanflare C4 charger. The first test was set to charge/discharge/charge at 300 mA (about 10 hrs total), the second at 500 mA (just under 5 hrs). First cycle capacity results (mAh): 1040, 1021, 1048, 1044 Second cycle capacities (mAh): 1082, 1074, 1088, 1085 After a few hours at rest, I tested final voltage with a Klein CL110 multimeter: 1.412, 1.410, 1.413, 1.413 volts. A third NOR TEST cycle would most likely bring them right up to the claimed capacity, I think they're good to go.

Answer:	NiMh cells will last longest (provide the maximum number of recharge cycles) if they are not overcharged. Using a smart charger, one that stops charging when the cell produces a voltage spike when it is fully charged is best and using a higher charging current will produce the best chance of the charger detecting the voltage spike. NEVER use a charger designed for NiCad cells on NiMh cells. Some chargers use a thermal detector to terminate charging, and these also work best at higher charging rates. Using too low a charge current with NiMh cells often will result in the charger not turning off and then overcharging the cell. That will significantly shorten the life of a NiMh cell. The best NiMh chargers will charge at high current for the first 70% of the cycle and then drop the charge current as the battery heats up. Trickle chargers (using a charge rate of .05C to 0.1C are not recommended for NiMh cells. Timer-controlled chargers are OK only if you are sure the NiMh cell is fully discharged at the start of the cycle. If not, the cell will be overcharged and its life shortened. If you have a smart charger, use a charging current of 500mA for AAA cells and at least 750 mA for AA cells. Also monitor charging time. A 800mAH AAA cell should reach full charge in a 500 mA charger in 2 to 2.5 hours. A 2100mAh AA cell charging at 750 mA should reach full charge in less then 4 hours. If it takes a lot conger, the cell is probably being overcharged. If you use a cheap trickle charger (no automatic shut-off) be sure to remove the cell once it's fully charged. Leaving a NiMh cell in a trickle charger once fully charged will dramatically shorten its life.
