There is just me so there isn’t a lot of human foot traffic, but I got tired of wasting money on Swiffer type products. I decided to try these with hopes of being able to wash and reuse instead of throwing money away. I have approx. 100 of them. I fold them in half. Since they are 12x16 they have long side to them. The micro fiber sticks to itself and I use the type of dust mop with Velcro on the bottom. I spray a bit of windex on the floor and/or on the microfiber. It took me a bit of trial and error, but I figured out how much pressure and movement. I now do my entire house with these. I just peel them off the mop and wash when I get a load. I use them for dry or wet. |

If you use both waxes and polishes, dedicate some towels to different products, as polishes and rubbing compounds have particles that could scratch your paint. Use a permanent marker and make a dot or other symbol on those towels to keep them separate from the towels that are used to remove your (final coat of) wax. Wash wax towels and rubbing compound towels separately. |

For buffing scenarios I would make sure that the paint-correcting compound (Meguiar's M205 is my choice) or the wax or buffing product (M105 is my go-to thing, in this case) has not dried up on the paint, or, if you are applying them with a machine, that the pads used on those machines have not caused the marring. Also make sure that you are not putting with your hand too much weight on the towel when you're shining up your paint.That counts, too! |

| Answer: | Yes it is perfectly safe. It will not scratch. In fact, you can use it damp or dry. When I clean my CD's or DVD's (am I showing my age?) I just use it dry. You know what? You can cut one cloth into quarters and have 4 cloths to clean dvd's. I do this all the time. I cut a single cloth into 8 pieces and then use them for my eyeglasses. It's safe on camera lenses too. | Answer: | Hi Wayne, here are some tips for cleaning the cloth: 1. You can hand wash it in the sink with some dish soap and hot water. Then rinse it well with cold water, wring it and let it air dry or use it right away 2. If the cloth has stains, you can soak it in bleach mixed with water to get it white again. I keep a small rectangular container under the kitchen sink for this purpose. 3. Machine washing works well too and yes you can use laundry detergent but please, NO FABRIC SOFTENER. If your laundry detergent has fabric softener in it then I suppose you can just wash it by hand. I usually don't use fabric softener in the washer. I use the dryer sheets so when I launder them, I just wash them with the whites. 4. It's best to air dry them but if you want to dry them in the machine, remember to keep it on a cold setting. A hot dryer will destroy the cloth. I hope this helps! Al |

Hence: 1) hard water minerals don't stick to the glass and 2) glass stays cleaner much longer. I used this cloth to clean old sliding doors in Florida where there is load of calcium in the water and plenty salt in the air. The water minerals did not clean up; however, nothing has adhered to the new windows. |

| Answer: | One accidental time won't do too much damage but using them leaves a coating on the fibers which ultimately will not allow them to clean effectively and will ruin them. It's actually better if you hang them to dry also after laundering. You'll also be less likely to accidentally not remember to take out the dryer sheet as well as when you are using the dryer sheet in the dryer you are still leaving a coating on the dryer drum from the sheet that can transfer to your items. Try the dryer balls and if you like the scent of the sheets add essential oils to the ball. |
