Answer:	laundry detergent is activated at 70 degrees F; 70 degrees F is a cold wash Depending where you live, tap water may or may not be 70 degrees. Most machines don't actually heat the water or measure the temp, they just take it from your hot valve for hot, your cold valve for cold and both for warm. According to machine manufacturers, 70F is cold, 80F is warm. If you have a miele, or something similary, you might be able to choose the actual temp. Otherwise, if you live up north, I don't think you really want to use cold or tap settings. I hope this helps.

Answer:	The instructions also say "empty toilet bowl before cleaning" so they are presuming most of the water will be drained out which is why they say to clean above the water line. That said, I never empty the toilet bowl, I just clean above the water line first while I have all the cleaner on the head and then work my way down into the water. The water will slowly rinse the cleaning product off the head but the bowl will get clean before that happens!

Answer:	No this doesn't work on on hard water and rust stains. I moved in with my mother to be her caregiver due to her dementia which had turned into Alzheimer's. Since she lived alone no one really knew just what was happening in the house. Well she had stopped routinely flushing the toilet and OMG it was so very gross!!! It was almost black with calcium deposits and rust. I was trying everything but nothing worked UNTIL I found my MIRACLE PRODUCT, "Lysol toilet cleaner for lime and rust". It is in a regular lysol plastic bottles, I think it is 24 ounces and the bottle is mostly black. Anyway I put the thick viscous gel liquid in the toilet and basically forgot about it. So after about an hour I went back in there and was shocked to see floating on the surface of the water several "skins" of the calcium/rust floating on top of the water. Go figure !! I had been fighting this for months, trying all these different products and this is the MAGIC ONE Lysol for lime and rust.

Question:	Can they be used to "clean" a front-load washer? I.e., no clothing, just using the "clean washer" cycle that uses cold water
Answer:	The repair man from the machine's manufacturer, told me the ONLY way to clean a washing machine is a multi-stage release packet like Affresh, which I do occasionally. This does more than disinfecting the machine. I was told it is part of general maintenance. After a washing something mildly disgusting, a quick wash with bleach or one stage cleaning product is enough.
Question:	Do these disinfect and remove bacteria
Answer:	Let me first say that I do not represent Clorox Brand in any capacity, neither am I a Virologist. Having said that, I AM a researcher. One of the active ingredients in this dry bleach is Sodium dichloroisocyanurate. The others are additional salts, such as sodium bicarbonate—which is Baking Soda. Baking Sida is known to regulate PH levels of water. In this case, the PH level helps the active ingredients to remain stable and efficacious. Customers are used to manufacturers doing all of the homework. Sodium dichloroisocyanurate Is a registered disinfectant; and it is often found in pool “chlorine” tablets, saline solutions such that of contact lens solutions, and also water disinfection systems. Since these are dry packets of bleach, chemistry says it can’t possibly be the same ions as Sodium Hypochlorite, that is your regular aqueous form of household bleach or chlorine. Thus, I propose that this was not purposely registered as an EPA Pesticide or Micobicide due its dry or powdered form. It would be hard to control if customers do not use common sense and mix with water appropriately! Once mixed with water, and just as Sodium Hypochlorite, this dry bleach turns into a slow releasing chlorine. In actuality, it performs slightly better in that it is a slow releasing of chlorine. So the stability seems to be there. There’s more deductions that can be inferred without the packaging claiming it’s a disinfecting bleach. The question, remaining would be potential kill times of the various microbes. I would say at least a minimum of 5 minutes total wet contact time to ensure complete disinfection. Sanitization only requires about 1-2 minutes—as it suggests reduction of microbes and not total wipeout.
