12 best breathe right breathe nasal dilators
Breathe Right nasal dilators are a type of over-the-counter (OTC) medical device designed to help alleviate breathing difficulties associated with nasal congestion, snoring, and certain sleep-related issues. These products are commonly used by individuals seeking better airflow through their nasal passages. Here's what you need to know about Breathe Right nasal dilators:
Nasal Congestion Relief: Breathe Right nasal dilators are primarily used to relieve nasal congestion caused by various factors, such as allergies, colds, or sinus issues. They work by physically opening up the nostrils, which can help increase airflow and make breathing easier.
Snoring Reduction: These dilators are often used by individuals who snore due to nasal congestion or restricted airflow during sleep. By improving nasal breathing, they may help reduce or alleviate snoring, leading to better sleep quality for both the snorer and their partner.
Drug-Free Solution: Breathe Right nasal dilators provide a drug-free approach to improving nasal airflow. They are made of flexible, spring-like bands that adhere to the outside of the nostrils. There are no medications involved, making them a safe option for many people.
Different Types: Breathe Right offers various types of nasal dilators, including strips and inserts. Nasal strips are adhesive and are applied to the outside of the nose, gently lifting and opening the nostrils. Nasal inserts are designed to be placed inside the nostrils to achieve a similar effect.
Size and Fit: These dilators come in different sizes to accommodate various nose shapes and sizes. It's essential to choose the right size for a comfortable fit and optimal effectiveness.
Non-Invasive: Breathe Right nasal dilators are non-invasive and do not require any special preparation or medical procedures. They are easy to apply and remove.
Temporary Relief: It's important to note that the relief provided by Breathe Right nasal dilators is temporary and symptomatic. They can help manage nasal congestion and snoring, but they do not address underlying causes or offer a long-term solution for chronic issues.
Consultation: If you have chronic nasal congestion, snoring, or sleep-related problems, it's advisable to consult a healthcare professional or an ear, nose, and throat specialist (ENT) to rule out any underlying medical conditions.
Breathe Right nasal dilators can be a useful tool for individuals looking to improve their nasal breathing and alleviate issues related to nasal congestion and snoring, especially when caused by temporary factors like allergies or colds. However, for persistent or severe problems, it's important to seek professional medical advice to address any underlying conditions.

Question: | Anyone try these with a nose piercing |
Answer: | No but im sure u can adjust it. |
Question: | The picture says extra, in the cart the title says original. Which one is it |
Answer: | Amazon controls the description. I don't know why it reads "Original" in the cart. If you order from Health & Home Goods you will receive Breathe Right Extra 44 Strips. |
Question: | I'm cursed with oily skin. WIll these stay on my nose all night sleeping |
Answer: | Use Swan 99% alcohol (available from Amazon) as a swab by shaking a drop or two onto a tissue. Do NOT use drugstore alcohol, which is on 70% (30% water); it is too weak to get the oil off. Also, tear a small strip from your tissue, and put it right in the center of the strip to keep the aheasive from tearing up the bridge of your nose when you take it off in the morning. |
Question: | Size please |
Answer: | Wondering the same,it says "extra" so does that mean extra large or extra with drugs, if it's the size why can't they describe as"extra large" SMH! |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does it scar your nose |
Answer: | No. I've used these for years and they really help, BUT, the last time I bought them in a box of 72, I think they were defective. The adhesive sticks to my nose after the strip is removed, and is difficult to get off. I have no idea why this has happened. |
Question: | I have never use this type of product before. How do these work |
Answer: | put it across the lower part of your nose and rub it firmly to secure the adhesive. Like a band-aid, works great. |
Question: | Do they have an expiry date |
Answer: | I didn’t see an expiration date on the box. I’ve tried numerous brands all at the same time so I’ve had boxes of nasal strips for a couple years and never had an issue with expiration or lack of adhesion. The only other nasal strips that work almost as well as Breathe Right, is the CVS brand Equate. Those are good too. |
Question: | Where is this shipping from |
Answer: | FBA warehosue |
Product description
They seem simple, but Breathe Right nasal strips have unique engineering that make them a sleeping aid as well as an effective tool for managing nighttime congestion and improving sleep. The nasal strips are made of flexible, spring-like bands that fit right above the flare of the nostrils. The underside is 3M adhesive so that once positioned on the nose, they stay there. As the bands attempt to straighten back to their original shape, they lift the sides of the nose and open the nasal passages. This lifting action helps open inflamed sinus passages and makes it easier to breathe. The nasal strips provide instant relief for congestion due to colds, allergies, or a deviated septum and reduce snoring caused by nighttime nasal congestion. How to use Breathe Right Nose Strips? Clean Your Face: Since adhesive doesn’t stick well to oily, wet or moisturized skin, it’s important to wash and thoroughly dry your nose before applying a nasal strip. Position Nasal Strip: Remove the protective liner to expose the adhesive, then position the nasal strip on your nose. Position is critical — the strip should be centered along the width of your nose with the tabs on the flaring part of the nostril. The tabs shouldn’t cover the flaring part of the nostril entirely, but rather should sit just above. Apply to Nose: Gently rub the strip to secure it onto your nose. Nasal strips come in different sizes to fit different nose types, so you should determine which size is best for you. Also, it’s important to always refer to the packaging leaflet before use.
- Breathe Right nasal strips open your nose up to 38% more than allergy decongestant sprays alone and can help you reduce nasal snoring
- Breathe Right nose strips are a drug free snoring aid that provides instant relief for nighttime nasal congestion due to cold or allergies
- USE: Wash and dry your nose then apply above the nostrils.
- REMOVE: Wash your face with warm water and start to loosen the nose strip from each end, gently lifting the strip off your nose
- Breathe Right nasal strips are available in other colors, sizes and scents to help you breathe better so you can sleep better
User questions & answers
Question: | I want med/small when do I select that choice. All the picturees feature - large |
Answer: | Call customer service |
Question: | Are these the actual "original" strips that stuck completely on the nose or are they simply called original because this was the first brand |
Answer: | I ordered both "tan" and "clear". The tan ones stuck to my nose, and my nose hurt if I don't use soap and water to remove it. Who wants to stand in front of the mirror to take the time to wash your Breathe Right off with soap and water? The clear ones can be removed first thing in the morning in bed without water. To answer your question, my best guess is that these "tan" ones are original. I would avoid them and look for "clear" in the Breathe Right title before I order them. |
Question: | Best way to get them off |
Answer: | COCONUT OIL! I just slather a small amount all over (maybe a 1/4 of teaspoon-ish) and on the edges especially. By the time you've worked it in, it's already coming off. Just gently work it in and around. In about 30 seconds it's off. Wash the remaining glue with soap and warm water. Apply more coconut oil because it's just so good for you and your skin! I didn't want to wait for a shower. I'm currently using the original. |
Question: | how do you get them off |
Answer: | Before I put one on, I put of strip of face cream down the middle of my nose. I also crease the strip in the middle. It adheres well to the sides of my nose and comes off easier when I lift the sides together. In the beginning I used uni-solve, an adhesive remover wipe. I prefer the clear strips because cream on the bridge of my nose and creasing the middle makes the adhesive remover unnecessary. |

User questions & answers
Question: | I have a severely deviated septum. Can I wear this while running or working out to better breathe through my nose |
Answer: | I wear one sometimes when I'm taking a nap if I'm having an unusually rough day with pollen and nasal blockage or whatever and after my nap I may go down and do some gardening or something active and I find that it's helpful. I would imagine that running or working out would be more effective if you are able to breathe better and deeply, especially that when I've watched a football game on TV I occasionally see a player wearing one and look at how active they are on the field. I like the lavender ones too. I usually wear one every night when I go to bed and I enjoy the scent. Hope all this helps. Have a great Christmas, John |
Question: | What size are these |
Answer: | On the box it says " sized to fit all" I wear them on the lower one third of my nose and I am extremely happy with the result. I do think that the lavender scent aids in falling asleep. I highly recommend the product especially if you have a problem with stuffy nose. |
Question: | Is it easy to take off? Will it hurt to take them off |
Answer: | The glue works well over night and through the day, for example, if you had a cold and wanted to keep the strip on. To take it off, best if you either wash your face with warm water, especially the strip, or, better, if you shower, get that strip nice and wet and it will dissolve the glue and it will fall off. If you don't wet your face, it will be like tearing off a sticky piece of tape. In that case, pull it off SLOWLY and it won't hurt. Then wash the residue off with warm water. |
Question: | Will these help with sleep apnea |
Answer: | I would say no. Sleep Apnea causes your breathing to start and stop. These strips are Wonderful at pulling your nasal cavities open so you can breath better when you have colds or allergies. You could use them WITH what you are using for your sleep apnea, but not in place of or as a replacement for your CPAP machine. |

User questions & answers
Question: | What size are these |
Answer: | The size is perfect to cover an adult nose. For kids, it may be just a touch long. |
Question: | Will these help for opening nasal passages during a marathon race |
Answer: | I can't confirm for a marathon but I use them during motorcycle racing. During the summer, it gets very hot on the track and these strips stay put on a sweaty face. Just make sure you apply them before you get sweaty! |
Question: | compare with Breathe Right Advanced |
Answer: | I'm copying my review of the Advanced strips which asked this question. Quick update if you don't want to read the review: I haven't used an Advanced strip since I wrote it."I personally find the Breathe Right "Extra" strips to be a step up from the regular ones. However, these "Advanced" strips have a design which seems to provide an even better result than the Extras, but it's not definitive. The primary problem is that they're only available as "Clear" strips. I've always found the plastic "springs" in the original Clear Breathe Rights to be very weak and the adhesive in those strips to be poor. Both aspects are improved in this version, but the adhesive is still lacking. It's not as good as the adhesive on the Tan strips, and it leaves a residue on your nose which can be difficult to clean off. Because of this, I find the Extra strips to be more convenient.I'm still not sure which is better, but I think I'll probably use the Extras most of the time, while keeping these around for occasional use, since they do open my nasal passages better." |
Question: | would you recommend this product |
Answer: | Absolutely. There are different 'styles' of this product. I have tried several, but now know that the EXTRA type works best for me. It adheres very well, is comfortable, and removes easily in the morning. Just amazing how it opens the breathing passages for such restful sleep. Give it a try! |
