Answer:	I have only used it on my shoulder, while sitting up. I'm sure you can lay on it and sleep with it. It stays cold for a while, so you would have to remove after the chill wears off.

Answer:	I like to heat water in a pan on my stove top, then once it begins to boil I remove the pan from heat, stick the pack in and out the lid on. About 5 mins or so in that hot water is enough! I’ve found the microwave will heat packs but also since it’s radiation it destroys at least a little of whatever goes in it, each time. So everything wears out fast when it gets heated in he microwave. I haven’t found one of the therapy packs ever really wear down with the hot water method- simply some loss of color in some packs a blue vinyl type outer. Hope this helps!

Answer:	I use it 15 minutes on and 15 off. I initially allowed it freeze overnight. After that I use it for 15 minutes on and 15 off. I put it back in the freezer for 15 minutes and it's just as cold as when I first took it out of the freezer.

Answer:	In general, it seems OK to reuse. The seal is probably designed for one use but retains some stickiness unless you get a ton of dust, cat hair, etc. on it. Probably can be unstuck without cutting if you're careful. If there's no stickiness left, yes, it seems like it could be taped and work nearly as well.

Question:	Is "proprietary gel" non-toxic? I have found that all ice packs leak eventually, and don't want toxic chemicals in my freezer or on my skin

Nor would Amazon allow us to sell a product that contained toxic materials. And we definitely do not expect your gel pack to ever leak when used properly and under normal conditions. Question:	How long does it remain cold? This was asked already, with all giving positive answers, but there are dozens of people who say it only lasts 5-15 min
Answer:	10 minutes at best. Trying to ice my knee and have to use a wrap to hold it against my knee. Begins to lose it's coldness about 5 minutes in. Definitely looking to get a longer lasting one. A 20 minute icing is needed.
