Hi - the DH4 inside diameter looks to be 1 3/4" and outside diameter is 1 7/8". If you're looking to use them on a 70's vintage VW air cooling system (air fan housing to muffler) they won't work as that requires and inside diameter of 1 7/8"... just saying. Good hunting. I have a comparison picture of old and DH4 so you could see the size difference but don't have any way to attach it... might be a feature amazon improves on

Answer:	I didn't end up using it ,all I know is it is NOT 4" ind diamaeter I am guessing 2 1/2 inches in diameter

Answer:	I measured mine at 1.95" od, 1.76" ID. The tube section measured is not extended so the wall ripple accounts for the thickness. As for the length I have it installed at close to collapsed ~1'; it should extend a good deal from that length.

Answer:	There is no velcro attached permanently to the pack. The strap has velcro at each end and can be 'peeled' off and re-attached to the pack, wherever you want it, as often as you need.

Answer:	Yes, there are 2 firm, smooth "balls" within the pack. When you lie down on it you can position the balls to put pressure against both sides of the base of your head. It helps me quite a bit with a headache. I hope that helps.

Answer:	Yes, microwave. Don't over heat it or it will explode. Love the product! Use my three rectangles for ice packs, but grandpa uses his neck model for heat (again- watch for heating as this model is more difficult to heat evenly and could burn sensitive skin).

Question:	is the gel pack sewn into the vinyl
Answer:	I haven't used it with these ones yet (actually looking to buy them now), but for ones that say they can be used with hot water, you need to keep in mind that you *cannot* use boiling water with them, as that will weaken (and possibly melt) the materials they're made out of. The recommended temperature is usually around 140-160 degrees Fahrenheit, which is about the hottest your tap can get. I usually put tap water in (whatever comes out when I first turn it on, not as hot as it can be, as my water takes *forever* to heat up, heh) and then pour in boiling water until it feels comfortable - hot but not burning - on my skin, and I've not had one break or leak on me yet. :)

Answer:	The black are much more durable. The blue leaked almost a month after I received it. It spewed clay like gel all over.
