I had no problems with the insoles when I started wearing them, but I have heard others say it took them some time to break in. I would suggest wearing them for short periods of time to get used to the excellent arch on the insole. They have done wonders for my feet and my plantar fasciitus. |

| Answer: | The shoes were true to length but not width. I would, however, caution you about buying anything from Orthofeet. If you don't like the shoes or they don't fit, you will have to pay for return shipping. These shoes were not wide enough for me and I now have to pay $16.00 to return them. I feel that if you are going to sell something as fit-sensitive as shoes online, you should offer free returns. |

| Answer: | This is my thought on your problem. There is an elastic pull on the top of the shoe. You can pull that tight and the little button like thingy keeps the elastic where you have pulled it. Since you can use that on the narrower foot it would make more sense to get a shoe for the wider foot. You can always make the shoe smaller by pulling the elastic BUT you can't make the shoe wider for the other foot. My suggestion only. I will tell you this. This is the most comfortable pairs of summer shoes that I own. I can wear them all day and feel no fatigue in my feet. |

| Answer: | I normally wear 8.5 Wide so I ordered 9 wide and they fit fine. I did try a 9.5 wide but that was too large a shoe. I do like these shoes as they are very comfortable and I dont have foot problems like before when I wore a medium width shoe....gotta have the wide. I have never tried an extra wide size though. |

| Answer: | For me, my orthotics did not fit well in the New Balance, but in these awesome. Wear well, but as with any orthotic shoe pace wear : 1/2 hour first day 1 hour next day, 1 1/2 the next etc |
