Answer:	Wow...there's a lot of confusion here! Yes/No! :-) All Shun knives come shipped in a gift box with the knife in a cardboard sheath purely to protect it during shipping an arriving to our valued customers! After removing your new Shun, please recycle - don't reuse the shipping sheath. As for a permanent sheath being asked about, it does not come with one. Thanks!
Question:	can u wear with slippers
Answer:	Have not read anything on Shun knife particular, but youtube has videos on how to sharpen scalloped blades. They use a serrated tool. Looks similar to an ice pick shape. Wushtoff has a video.
Question:	How do you determine the size you need
Answer:	No, you can not use a traditional steel on a serrated bread knife. They have special much thinner/smaller tapered rods for that. But it's much more complicated and time consuming. You have to sharpen each scallop on the blade individually and make sure you do it at the correct angle. If you need to sharpen a serrated knife it is best to bring it to a local knife sharpening shop. It only costs $5 to $7 dollars per knife. This is an expensive knife, so unless you are an expert sharpener or have sharpened serrated blades before I wouldn't do it by yourself. It's nothing like sharpening a chef knife.
