Question:	is the gauze pad edge-to-edge on the narrow side or is there a adhesive space on that sde
Answer:	There is adhesive around the narrow side; the pad is not 'edge-to-edge'. However, of the two boxes that I bought, the adhesive was 'dead' on all bandages. NONE of the bandages would stick to my skin for any length of time! Initially, the bandage would stick and I would think that things would be fine; after about an hour I would see that the adhesive had 'let go', and the bandage was gaping and beginning to fall off. Yes, my hand was clean and not oily. The bandages were just old, I think, and the adhesive had lost its stickyness...

Answer:	Well, I just looked the manufacture up and from what I found it says manufactured in Pennsylvania. Hopefully this is correct. The product should have the origin printed on the wrapper, but doesn’t.

Answer:	I've got three brands/types of small bandages that I use to patch minor "leaks". One is a round Walgreen's dot. It is clear plastic, but the back of the absorbant fabric pad that covers the "leak" shows through the clear plastic as a light skin-colored rectangle. The McKesson bandage is a round fabric dot with a uniform skin-color that is a shade or two darker than the Walgreen's bandage. On my skin, it just shows up as somewhat pinker than my skin. It shows up, but does not call attention to itself. The Band-Aid brand bandage is rectangular translucent skin-colored plastic with the absorbant pad showing through as a darker skin-colored rectangle. Both the Walgreen's and the Band-Aid bandages, being effectively two-toned, call more attention to themselves that does the uniformly-colored McKesson brand bandage. More importantly, the McKesson bandage hides any drainage from the "leak" (normally blood), whereas the clear or translucent Walgreen's and Band-Aid bandages clearly show the wound drainage. Most importantly, the McKesson bandage is fabric, and it firmly stays in place until I take it off. The other two are plastic, and generally come off way before I want them to. They often are loosened by getting wet by the "leak", by washing, by perspiration, or by oily skin. The relative weakness of their adhesives even increase the chance of them being inadvertently removed by contact with clothing or bedding. You probably are getting the impression that I prefer the McKesson dot bandages. I do: strongly!

Answer:	It’s safe to assume that these are aseptic but not sterile. Since these bandages really shouldn’t come into direct contact with open wounds, there is no sense in making them sterile. Always apply sterile gauze directly to the wound first, then you can wrap this around the gauze.
Question:	Is this appropriate for use with non-stick gauze pad to make into bandages
Answer:	Not sure if I understand your question.. I wouldn't recommend using this in place of a gauze pad. However, if you are trying to hold a gauze pad in place without using adhesive tape this might work. It adheres to itself fairly well. Just be careful about the thickness of the gauze pad because if the wound seeps through it could still be messy. My wife uses it to hold in place a multi day IV line when not in use and sometimes to wrap her swollen ankle. Hope that helps.
