Answer:	It should hold for a decent amount of time... it's NOT a permanent tape but I've used it on all sorts of materials, cardboard, plastic, metal forseveral months and I had no problems. If you're talking about slapping a piece on a container and marking it "Kitchen" you're good.
Question:	Could this tape be used for making labels (that won't curl up or fall off) for plastic moving boxes
Answer:	As someone who has worked on stages and in studios, I can confirm that gaff tape won’t damage properly painted surfaces unless the paint is old or the subsurface is poor. However, gaff tape is not designed to withstand a lot of moisture on its adhesive side the way duct tape is. A little moisture is okay. It stands up well to “sweating” concrete, for example.
Question:	Would this work for taping plastic over windows in winter months without leaving residue or removing paint when removed
Answer:	Gaffer’s tape is probably the best type of tape for this purpose as the adhesive is meant to be easily removed from surfaces without residue. It also doesn’t stretch like duct tape, which I’d never suggest you use on any skin! There are certain brands of G tape that actually are less sticky than others, so look for those with complaint reviews about that. Good luck, and avoid the nips!

Question:	Can this tape be used on a tear in fabric awning
Answer:	Hmm I see other "real premium grade gaffer" not made by Gaffer Power for less money. Gaffer Power is a brand. They have a dot com website if you want their "story" I like their tape. A premium company can charge more money largely if their gaffer product leaves less residue.
Question:	Is it waterproof
Answer:	Garry from Gaffer Power is being to nice to duct tape. I am not familiar with their Powersteel Duct tape and maybe it is better, but most Duct tape is also only a temporary solution too and will likely leave a mess when you remove it if left very long. Gaffer Power tape won't. Actually neither may work at all unless there is a pretty low pressure in the hose. Their Gaffer tape is great stuff so maybe their Duct tape is that much better than others. Ultimately you probably need to cut out that section and put in a metal connector made for joining hose of that size. If it is near the end cut that end off and use a fitting made for adding the end you want to a raw hose.

Question:	Has anyone used this on a car for track days ? If so, how well did it last a full day? Full Weekend
Answer:	If the wire is inside the car ... give Pro-Gaff tape a try. I used Pro Gaff to tape a complex, temporary aluminum support for a Garmin Navigator on the left on my Wife's dashboard. Since the aluminum was shiny, I additionally taped over the aluminum where the sun shines. Matte finish worked great. When I ripped it out after our vacation, no residue was left. If the wire is outside ... NO! use Gorilla masking tape. ... By the way, tonight I saw this very brand of tape being used to set up the music stage for Super Bowl XLIX. I have a selfie to prove it!

Answer:	No it will not stick long on concrete. It is somewhat waterproof but will not last if exposed to the elements. If you are thinking about using it on concrete and then submerging it in water- no. I have used it in my garage to hold plastic sheeting in place while painting to protect the concrete floor. Gaffer tape will not leave a gummy residue like regular duck tape does.

Question:	Has anyone tried this on home exterier vinyl siding? Also, does it retain exterior paint well
Answer:	Matte and non-reflective. It is black masking tape.
Question:	It's 50 ft ? Roll in picture does not look like 50 ft
Answer:	It's a quality tape but I work in the motion picture industry and usually is a temporary marking for me but never leaves a residue( I use many different kinds). All tape will leave a residue after long periods of time. I'm here in Phx AZ, even the asphalt can melt so tape in the heat will goo up regardless of the quality/price.
Question:	I was going to buy keel guard to protect the bottom of my kayak. would this do the job
Answer:	That would only provide a very temporary fix. I would think that using E6000 glue, or maybe contact cement to glue a fabric patch onto the tear would be much better. But ultimately, if the tear is due to sun damage or deteriorating fabric for any other reason, fixing the tear won't do any good, because tears in other places will appear very soon.

Answer:	I have used it, but I did not try to leave it one for the entire weekend. I only left it on for a day/2 sessions. Some of it did come up in the slip stream. :( It did not leave any visible residue, but it did leave a slightly perceptible (but not visible) film behind, but it came up easily with a microfiber and some detailing spray (when I say slight, I mean very slight) This was on both the standard paint AND the Satin hood of my Hellcat. As always, try in a small spot... I tried it several times for varying lengths of time on my Satin hood before I went out. (The first time made me sick to my stomach).

Answer:	No. As someone who works on stage and studio, gaffer tape sticky is slightly weaker than duct tape and is not recommended for box sealing. But it has no residue. It can be used to fix wires and cables and DIY production.

Question:	where is the tape made
Answer:	The overwrap packaging states: " made in USA by 3M Health Care ,St. Paul, Minn.
Question:	does this work well on infants under3 months
Answer:	It is easier on the skin than a lot of others but it still sticks really firmly. It is going to be really rough on baby skin. 3m makes another product Nexcare Sensitive Skin tape. It is light blue. I never found it in bulk packaging but it is the easiest on skin that I could find. Another tip btw, use alcohol on cotton swabs to loosen the glue on the tape when you remove it. Eventually it will dry out the skin but it makes removal less painful.

Answer:	The tape does stick to skin, but is not painful to remove. It is a gentle tape.
