On mine the smilel opening is about 3" "ear-to-ear" and about 1 1/2" at the widest point top to bottom, so likely depends on the overall dimension of your blades. Also, the smaller 1 qt units come with the lids packed with the lids separate (not yet attached), which means you could add the blades and then attach the lid when full. Some vendors send the 2.2 quart size with lids separate, but on these the lids come already snapped in place.

Answer: Not many. My injections are with the same needles and I could only fit about 10 in there. Eventually, I started unscrewing the needle from the syringe and throwing the syringe in the trash and putting just the needle in the container (it will hold a hundred like that). Now, I only use this container for traveling because it's small-ish.

Answer: No. A sharps container has to be disposed properly. The container CAN NOT be reused as it contains bio hazardous material hence being a sharps container. You can either drop it off where they accept such containers and they'll dispose it for you or you call the 800 number on the sticker and they will give you instructions.
