| Answer: | Hello. As someone that works at The Beauty Drawer and has small plugs, I do use this solution occasionally. If I'm in a hurry or I'm not at home, I will use this to clean my lobes and jewelry and use it before bed. If you use this solution and it stings or irritates your ears, please discontinue use and try something more gentle. If your earlobes are healed, you can also take the plugs out every day while in the shower and give your lobes a quick wash with a mild soap. Once your ear lobes are fully healed and are no longer sensitive, massaging Jojoba oil into them works wonders to keep them thick and healthy. Hope this helps! |

| Answer: | Based on the chemical structure of the active ingredient in moth balls, napthelene, your best bet would be to use other bicyclic sesquiterpenes such as Juniper and Cedar oils. Cedar would likely be more effective than Lavender which lacks the aromatic functional group as a monocyclic chemical structure. Lavender is at most 5% active as a sesquiterpene versus 10% for Juniper berry and 32% in cedar (Texas over Virginia) |
