Answer:	Small scratches only. Worked well on my golf cart windshield
Question:	I know this sound weird but some people say this works out scratches in their iPhones
Answer:	This stuff is basically petroleum based solvent (plastic solvent) and aluminum oxide powder (stuff they make sandpaper out of). So really only the powder is getting the scratch out. Look for a glass polishing agent if you try that.
Question:	Will this product work on instrument cluster plastic that has yellowed and fogged due, perhaps, to a previous owner using Armor All
Answer:	Sometimes, depending on the make and material, when products are applied to surfaces like an instrument cluster visor or a clock visor, the product will bleed through. I has seen this in the past. For example, my friend once over sprayed black magic onto the radio and it bled through the visor. It would not come out unless replaced. Try on a small area or used visor first.
Question:	Will this work on plastic instrument cluster
Answer:	I have only tried it on headlights for numerous vehicles and it works great. Turned yellowed Honda headlights clear again. I would imagine it should but would try it on a small spot first.

Answer:	We recommend between 55-85 degrees for best results. If it is colder, we do not suggest using in freezing temperatures.

Answer:	If you are asking how long the bottle of product will last, I have only used mine once but there are several more applications left in the bottle. If you are asking how long does the effect of the treatment last, I cleaned my headlamps about two months ago and they are still clean looking. However, I believe a tiny amount of the yellowing has reappeared.

Answer:	Yes, it has a snap down top to prevent spills.

Question:	How well will this work for my 1997 Avalon? They're pretty dated and oxidized
Answer:	Worked good on my 2000 ford
Question:	Messed up putting on the two step process. How do you correct this
Answer:	Mine "looked" like it was messed up after the first part (the abrasive portion of the process). I thought it wouldn't clean up, so I used toothpaste (mild abrasive). It still didn't look good. But, I finally applied the final polishing solution and voilla! It looked awesome! I suspect although it looked bad, the second part of the process cleaned it up. Maybe, the toothpaste was unnecessary. I heard about negative results with other Toyotas, like my Tacoma, however, my issue was resolved. I hope your issue is resolved as well. If not, I'd try a different brand and re-do it.
Question:	I used this last night without realizing it will rain today. Directions on the spray says to wait 24 hours before exposing to water. Am I in trouble
Answer:	If it looks fine you should be fine. The 24 hour recommendation is very conservative to cover all environments and situations. If it dried for a few hours it may be totally fine.

Answer:	No it is not a stupid question. I got confused too in the beginning. You use the gray (rough) side of the pad. The headlight looks little hazy after the application. But the spray brings the shine back.

Answer:	I keep mine in the car, in a tool box in the trunk. Depending on the climate and where your car is usually parked, the heat built up inside the car can dry up the wipes so I 'd keep the wipes in the coolest part of the vehicle and make sure the lid is tightly closed!

Answer:	I personally don't think they have much of a smell, they work great, I buy and use the kit, it makes everything very shiny, but if you use them all, make sure you don't get the protective one on your windows, it leaves oily substance that is extremely hard to get off.

Answer:	About 45 days on my honda. I drive about 100 miles each day, and it stands up pretty well through all the highway miles. To re-apply the polish and re-seal takes about 15 mins, and their luster came right back!
Question:	how many uses can i get out of this kit
Answer:	I found that the 1st two sanding discs loaded up quickly with the plastic and actually marked the lens . I tried an alternate approach for the first 2 discs and used toothpaste generously and a 1 1/2 inch rotary brush on my drill. Toothpaste is a mild abrasive compound . This worked fantastic and I finished up with the 3000 grit disc and the wax. There was no wear on the 3000 grit disc so you could do many many lights using this method. Just have to buy the rotary brush . I had one from a previous Amazon purchase.

Answer:	I purchased 2 kits and had enough materials to easily do all 3 vehicles; probably could have done a 4th.It has been about 18 months since I did the first, and it still looks great.The final step, the Clear Coat, will harden in the opened bottle over time.I suggest using up the entire kit within 2-4 months.
Question:	Should you apply this product indoors or in the shade
Answer:	It says to either apply in the shade or in an enclosed area. I applied it outside on an over cast day. An hour after I applied it the Sun came out. Two hours after that it rained. The application survived and I haven't had any problems even though my conditions were not advisable.
Question:	How long do the results last
Answer:	While this kit did an excellent job of restoring my headlights, it took me about an hour to do each side as I tend to be very meticulous when maintaining my vehicle. I took extra care to ensure the product was applied as designed and that application process achieved excellent results. However, my lenses started losing the clear coat finish after about 12 months. My vehicle is garaged kept 7x24 (with climate control) and only driven about 6,000 miles per year.

Step 1 - Apply Surface Activator

Wash the headlight lenses and then spray Surface Activator--a proprietary surface corrosion softener only from Sylvania, generously onto each headlight lens until they are completely covered. Let this liquid sit on each lens for about 30 seconds. Immediately, you’ll see the yellow gunk start to break down. Wash completely with water to remove loosened corrosion.

Step 2 - Sand And Polish

Use the wet sanding technique described in your instruction sheet, using the 400, 1000 and 2000 grits and paper included in the box. This will remove corrosion. Apply the clarifying compound using even circular motions. Rinse and dry. Reapply the Surface Activator for 30 seconds and rinse with water. You’ll be amazed at how clear the lenses will already be.

Step 3 - UVB Clear Coat Application

Insure all moisture is removed from on and around the headlight lens. You’ll then apply the UV Block Clear Coat. It’s simple. Just apply as instructed in smooth, even applications. This UV Block Clear coat is a specially formulated polymer coating with active and passive UV blockers. This is the component that gives you long-lasting results.

Before and After Results

The left side of the headlight lens is hazy and sun damaged, inhibiting your headlight from functioning properly. The right side of the headlight lens has been treated with the SYLVANIA Headlight Restoration Kit. Answer:	This product is intended for cleaning and removing oxidation. If they are new headlights that you are looking to keep protected, we would suggest using one of our spray products, such as ICE Seal N Shine or our Flex Wax!

Answer:	This headlight cleaning product works well with a foam polishing pad on an electric drill to help scrub off the yellow & white oxidation. The polish is quite thin and will splatter, low RPM works well. If your headlights are in poor condition, you may need to use 2000-3000 grit wet sandpaper before polishing because this is a finishing and cleaner polish. *ZFE has an inexpensive drill polishing kit w/pads (less than $10 US) and it works well with Turtle Wax and other plastic polish products.

Answer:	I used this product on a 1998 Subaru Outback headlights and if you follow the instructions, it works quite well. The UV protection is adequate. I did follow up and reapplied after 6 months. The product performed as promised as do all Turtlewax products.

Answer:	According to the box..... (I didn't open it since they are sealed) The Kit Contains: 4oz PlasTX Polish 2.5oz G2402 Headlight Coating Wool Pad 2 Finishing Discs Sanding Pad Foam Applicator pad. This sounds to me like all the various pads and product, but not the metal drill bit holder that you'll need.

Step 1

• Start with a headlight cleaning. Remove dirt and dust with a glass cleaner and microfiber towel and mask around the headlight.

Step 2

• Attach the 1000 grit disc to the hand pad, dunk the disc into water or spray water directly onto the disc, and repeat this periodically to ensure that the pad stays wet.

Step 3

• Sand side to side until the headlight has a uniform frosted appearance and wipe dry with a microfiber towel. Repeat this process with the 3000 grit disc, but work up and down instead of side to side.

Step 4

• Follow with PlastX Clear Plastic Cleaner & Polish and the included wool pad on a standard corded drill (between 1200 and 2500 RPMs) to polish the plastic back up to clarity. Work in thoroughly using moderate pressure for 1-2 minutes and wipe off with a microfiber towel. If needed, repeat this multiple times until the lens is clear.

Step 5

• Spray with glass cleaner and wipe with a microfiber towel before applying the headlight coating for protection. Shake well and apply a medium coat of the headlight coating to the entire surface of the headlight, overlapping your passes by 50%. Allow to cure for 3-5 minutes and then apply a second coat for a thorough seal. The headlight coating will then be fully cured after 24 hours.

Step 1

Move the car/headlight into a shaded area, do not leave it in direct sunlight. Clean the surface of the headlight thoroughly with a cloth and tape the edges of the headlight with the enclosed masking tape to prevent damage to the paint during sanding.

Step 2

You may sand and polish by hand or by using a drill/cordless screwdriver with the enclosed drill attachment. Please use the lowest speed setting to prevent damage. Attach the sandpaper on the polishing disk using the self-adhesive Velcro fastening. Now apply wet grinding to the headlight by using the sandpaper with the grit size P800. Note: Evenly sand the entire headlight by applying light pressure and using circular movements. Periodically moisten the sandpaper and the headlight with water.

Step 3

Next, repeat the same process with the included P1200 sandpaper.

Remove the sandpaper from the polishing disk and attach the enclosed sponge to the polishing disk.

Take the polish, apply it to the sponge, and polish the headlight to a high gloss finish.

Step 7

Clean the headlight with water and let it dry afterwards. Clean the sponge thoroughly with water. Now remove the masking tape.

Step 8

Once the headlight lens becomes clear, apply the UV protection fluid, found in the bag labeled “Step 3,” evenly to the headlight using the clean sponge. Wait 10-15 minutes so that the fluid can distribute evenly across the headlight. Place your vehicle/the headlight outside and let it dry in the sunlight for 2-3 hours so that the UV protection fluid properly hardens and to prevent the accumulation of dust.Please allow for 24 hours to pass before wetting the surface or getting a car wash.
