Answer:	I purchased 2 kits and had enough materials to easily do all 3 vehicles; probably could have done a 4th.It has been about 18 months since I did the first, and it still looks great.The final step, the Clear Coat, will harden in the opened bottle over time.I suggest using up the entire kit within 2-4 months.
Question:	Should you apply this product indoors or in the shade
Answer:	It says to either apply in the shade or in an enclosed area. I applied it outside on an over cast day. An hour after I applied it the Sun came out. Two hours after that it rained. The application survived and I haven't had any problems even though my conditions were not advisable.
Question:	How long do the results last
Answer:	While this kit did an excellent job of restoring my headlights, it took me about an hour to do each side as I tend to be very meticulous when maintaining my vehicle. I took extra care to ensure the product was applied as designed and that application process achieved excellent results. However, my lenses started losing the clear coat finish after about 12 months. My vehicle is garaged kept 7x24 (with climate control) and only driven about 6,000 miles per year.

Step 1 - Apply Surface Activator

Wash the headlight lenses and then spray Surface Activator--a proprietary surface corrosion softener only from Sylvania, generously onto each headlight lens until they are completely covered. Let this liquid sit on each lens for about 30 seconds. Immediately, you’ll see the yellow gunk start to break down. Wash completely with water to remove loosened corrosion.

Step 2 - Sand And Polish

Use the wet sanding technique described in your instruction sheet, using the 400, 1000 and 2000 grits and paper included in the box. This will remove corrosion. Apply the clarifying compound using even circular motions. Rinse and dry. Reapply the Surface Activator for 30 seconds and rinse with water. You’ll be amazed at how clear the lenses will already be.

Step 3 - UVB Clear Coat Application

Insure all moisture is removed from on and around the headlight lens. You’ll then apply the UV Block Clear Coat. It’s simple. Just apply as instructed in smooth, even applications. This UV Block Clear coat is a specially formulated polymer coating with active and passive UV blockers. This is the component that gives you long-lasting results.

The left side of the headlight lens is hazy and sun damaged, inhibiting your headlight from functioning properly. Answer:	Hi Zachary! Thank you for your question. No, there is no heat gun required for the application of the 3M 39173 Quick Headlight Clear Coat.

Answer:	I wet sand with 1000 grit and then 3000 grit by hand and then follow by polishing with a 3” pad by drill with polishing compound. Then I use the product for final finish and protection.
Question:	My car is 15 years old. I have kept the lenses clear with plastic cleaner polish. Can i apply this on them without any sanding
Answer:	Hello George. The lens does not have to be sanded, however for best adhesion of the coating to the lens, it should be sanded with the P3000 grit sanding disc that comes with the kit.

Answer:	It all depends on how much sunlight hits your headlights, I did mine several months ago, the side where the afternoon sun hits the light looks dull already where the other side still looks good.

Question:	Will it take paint off if I happen to touch it
Answer:	I wouldn't try it. I recommend being careful. Put painters tape around the paint on the car if you are worried about it. I got some on mine but I wiped it off right away and hasn't taken the paint off. Always use protection
Question:	Will this work on pitted, old headlights as well
Answer:	The wet sanding required with the course side and smooth side of the sanding block, which is supplied with the kit, should be followed per the directions supplied with the kit. I sanded my cars lenses in the drive way with a water hose and the sanding block. After sanding, the lenses looked even worse. However, after throughly drying and applying the application packet, they look great. They don't look brand new. But, they do look much better. Be quick with the application packet. It appears to dry quickly. It smells. But, I will use this again if I have a car where the headlight lenses are scratched. The kit cannot replace pieces of glass that are missing. But, it does smoth the plastic out after sanding and applying the chemical wipe. I hope this helps.
Question:	Is this for a single headlight or will it work for both. As in does this item wear out after the first headlight forcing you to have a second one
Answer:	Great question... If you plan ahead, you can do both headlights before the chemical evaporates. Make sure you don't open the sealed bag until you've scrubbed both headlights.

Answer:	Color is 3400°k. Whiter than standard OEM bulbs, but not bluish. Perfect for long distance vision. (Bluer bulbs actually reduce distance vision as the blue coating absorbs a lot of light; and the eye has a harder time seeing in the blue spectrum due to smaller number of rods in the eye sensitive to blue, and that blue focuses in a different part of the eye). Point being, you lose a lot with the "whiter" bulbs. I purchased a set of these in Feb. 2017 and they're still going strong. Especially so, considering that I'm running with DRL on. Best Halagen bulbs you can buy.

Answer:	I did not return my headlights. I installed them and about a month later one bulb went out. So I got online and filled out a customer contact order form on OSRAM.com immediately a customer service representative emailed me. It was fast and easy. Answer:	My 1989 chevy caprice has 2 head light bulbs each side ( 4 total ) 9005--- high beam , while 9006 --- low beam . don't be confuse, from looking the picture above, advertiser just too lazy to separate info. they use the same Q & A info for both 9005 and 9006 window. Trust me, i am a mechanics for almost 50 years. just remember , the low part number is for high beam, while the high part number is for low beam ( this is how i remember in the field )

Answer:	The HRK comes with three grits. 2000, 3000, and 5000. They are used in order from roughest (2000) to the finest (5000) in order to remove difficult imperfections in the lens and prepare it for the HRK application.

Answer:	Yes. As long as the outside of your lights is clear plastic, like the headlights. Typically, the red color is located on the inside of the lens, so you should be able to use the HRK on the outside assuming it is clear plastic.

Answer:	Yes! I just checked the the kit and there's at least 2/3 left in the liquid, and the tube seems almost full. (Maybe I didn't use enough?). I'd say you could do at least 4 headlights, maybe 6.
