After you release all 4 ends and the shelf is removed, you can press up the bottom of the shelf holder and you should be able to remove the shelf holder and move it to a preferable lever and adjust the shelf. Answer:	Actually, you cannot. I own this safe, and I have the user's manual. You can turn on and off the keypad beeps and such, but the *door open* beep that begins once the door has been open for a couple of minutes cannot be turned off. Here is a link to the user's manual. Answer:	I ordered the small in October 2018. It was a good fit for my unit that 18 3/4". It would be an awfully tight fit for 21 1/2" unit IF it would fit at all. I would go to the medium. The extra width on mine is not a problem, over 2" wider. Feel like you might be returning the small cover.

Answer:	Yes it comes with mounting hardware. If mounted vertically the box should be positioned so that the door opens left to right or right to left. It says if mounted vertically and the spring loaded door has to open upward it won’t stay open. I will note that I have not vertically mounted mine, but when I do I will mount it so that the spring loaded door opens right to left.

Answer:	If they say it is, they're lying. In fact, the seal around that gas spring on the left hand side will more than likely fail and spray oil all over whatever is in the container in a fire. Most of them only hold up to a few hundred degrees at best and a house fire is 800-1200F.

Answer:	Yes it has a light that comes on as soon as the door is open. The face is a little bit lit. My issue is the electric lock system is broken. It locks but opens with any button you push. I don't recommend buying it. Buy a name brand. Lesson learned

Answer:	Yes, It will hold 3 small frame laid flat and extra magazines above or with the shelf removed it will hold 5 upright with a small handgun rack and the extra magazines stacked to one side. I use a piece of wood mounted on the back and dowels sticking forward into the barrel to hold the weapons upright and displayed grip out and ready to grab and go. No fumbling that way. It is a very nice safe I'll be ordering a second one for mounting in my car trunk. I also own a Gunvault Speed Vault at more than twice the price I like this Viking better, it opens faster than my Gunvault and is lighted better. I wish I had never bought the gun Vault and bought two of these Viking safes! This safe has better welding than the comparable Stack On safe. It has felt lining, removeable felt shelf, simple LED lighting (easy to change batteries), and a low battery alert. I LOVE it!

Answer:	If you're referring the connection, you just have to work it through until it snaps in place. If you're referring why the battery is not fitting inside the battery chamber, try inserting it connector side first with the bottom (flat portion) facing out of the chamber area. Then place cover back on with screw.
