Question:	Does the included drying rack have the solid bottom pan found in the Weston 07-0155-W 3-Tier Drying Rack? The picture doesn't show it
Answer:	No it does not Kit also includes three stackable 11" x 17" non-stick oven drying racks with collapsible legs
Question:	Are the gears in this gun metal or plasic
Answer:	There really isn't any gears. It works like a "caulking gun." The rod on the back extends fully when the meat is loaded into the gun and when the trigger on the gun is pulled, it pushes a plunger inside the tube which in turn pushes the meat forward toward the nozzle end ejecting the meat.
Question:	I bought 16mm casings for "slim Jim". It said on the package it needs a stainless 8 inch tube. Is there such a tube available for this gun
Answer:	I bought one that was 7 1/2 which worked fine. the main thing is to make sure the size of the fitting that fits on the gun is right. I don't have mine anymore, but found one by googling it. the staneless steel helps the casings slide better than the plastic ones.
Question:	what size casing for the double snack stick nozzel
Answer:	Not sure this will actually help you but the casing size that came with the gun is equivalent to a "slim Jim" maybe just a tad bit bigger (rounder).

Question:	Can you use this for snack stick with casings
Answer:	We do not recommend using your dishwasher as the stainless-steel push rod and main tubing can be damaged in high-heat with repeated cycles. Because you are handling food, especially meat, you'll want to make sure you clean as much as possible - and hand washing is effective with the included brushes and warm, soapy water.
Question:	Is this made of iodized aluminum
Answer:	The way we use the SIGVAL Jerky Gun is to mix VERY lean ground beef (90% lean or better) with seasoning mix such as NESCO jerky seasoning mix. Put the mixture of raw ground beef into the gun and extrude it onto the curing racks of a food dehydrator. Once all the meat mixture has been extruded onto the racks, set the dehydrator for 140 to 160 degrees F and let it run for about 10 hours.

Question:	Dishwasher safe
Answer:	You don't need casings to make stick style. I am not sure you can even use them with this, never personally tried or wanted to. You simply put the meat into the gun and use the "stick" tip to make round sticks vs. flat. The dehydration process, will remove the moisture from the meat and ensure the sticks remain hard, together and have a "snap" when eaten. Unless you need or want casings, you don't need them. The kit comes with two tips, flat and round so you can make both types.
Question:	Do I cure the meat first before i grind it
Answer:	the 468 is metal tube

Answer:	The only part that is plastic is the tube u put the meat in as is the meat spouts that the meat comes out either flat or round and the cylinder that holds the spouts. The handle part that u squeeze the meat out is metal. I love this gun I wouldn't trade it for another. It's heavy duty and does its job. I've made about 25 lbs of jerky with no problems. And I always hand wash it to make sure I get all raw meat cleaned off. Hope this helps

Answer:	Any jerkey recipe will work. You need to mix with ground meats. I use nesco seasoning mixes. I like them a lot.
