Answer: | This was delivered in mid afternoon on a hot day. It came packed in the white Amazon freezer packets used to keep food cold. That worked very well. It was probably 95% frozen, so I put it in the freezer. A week later I took it out and it was mostly eaten at a birthday party. So, yes ours was frozen. For an off the shelf deliver to the door item, I think it is remarkably tasty. It is not a health food but in small doses is acceptable nutritionally. |

Both are great sweeteners. |

Answer: | It's sweetened with glycerol, the second ingredient. That is why there is 21g of sugar alcohol instead of sugar. Sugar alcohols don't affect blood sugar as much as sucrose (delays release a tiny bit), but glycerol is the closest sugar alcohol, and in fact has more kcals/gram than sugar. Sugar alcohols don't fully break down, leading to bloating and diarrhea. |

Its a special treat that I have every now and again. If you are looking for nutrition, I would say this is not for you. |
