Answer:	HQ is the "Santa Clara Valley of CA" according to the website. If you read the back of the package it lists where the fruit is grown. I've found the fruit to be very good, more moist than many such products, and the only complaint I've got is that a single package will not contain an equal distribution of the 5 fruits listed on the package, but will usually be heavy on prunes which are, of course, the least expensive of the 5 fruits named.

Whatever.I think you're referring to my favorite Christmas treat from childhood, a date with a quarter-pecan inserted, and then rolled in pure tooth-corrupting sugar. Makes me wonder how I survived...;)Anyway, I will offer some specifics:1) Some are dryer than you will like; these chop nicely into oatmeal or other fare.2) Some are plump and juicy.3) Use a paper towel, because your fingers WILL be sticky. Answer:	I am sorry your dates were dry--ours have always been moist and sweet. I looked it up online though, and there are three ways to moisten them: steam them for about 3 minutes, put them in boiling water for a few minutes, until,the sugar crystals on the outside have melted, or...spray them with a spray bottle of water and wrap in a paper towel. I would just return them and ask for another bag, if it was me.

This is my second purchase of them, and these dates are pretty soft and sweet, more so than my last package. However, these are the dates I purchase for baking and sweetening things like almond milk or oatmeal. I purchase Medjools separately for eating fresh or making raw desserts.

Answer:	Generally speaking medjool dates and all other dates are organic, because there is no need for pesticides. The use of pesticides is rare in most date farms.

Answer:	According to others it says they are packaged in a facility which processes tree nuts. Peanuts are a legume and not a tree nut, and no one mentions that it specifically lists peanuts as a potential allergen on the packaging.

Question:	Technically isn't that a counterfeit, illegally placed usda organic sticker if the country of origin is china
Answer:	No. The same question can be for any country, Mexico, Peru, Chile, Canada, etc. Foreign countries have to meet specific strict minimum standards set by the USDA to be labeled USDA certified organic. The USDA and FDA randomly check for pesticides, etc on shipments from China and other countries. So, the label is correct. That being said, I don't trust food from China regardless of the label. There is too much corruption there (as well as in Latin Am countries).
