8 best organic soups
Organic soups are soups that are made using organic ingredients, emphasizing natural and sustainable farming practices while avoiding synthetic pesticides, herbicides, and genetically modified organisms (GMOs). These soups are typically available in various flavors, including vegetable soups, and are considered a healthier and more environmentally friendly option. Here's what you should know about organic soups in the context of pantry staples and grocery gourmet food:
Organic Ingredients: Organic soups are crafted using organic vegetables, herbs, and other ingredients. These ingredients are grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers, making them a healthier choice.
No GMOs: Organic soups are made without genetically modified organisms (GMOs). This helps maintain the natural integrity of the ingredients used in the soup.
Reduced Chemical Residues: Because organic farming avoids synthetic chemicals, organic soups often have lower levels of chemical residues, which can be beneficial for those looking to minimize their exposure to such substances.
Environmental Sustainability: Organic farming practices are often more environmentally sustainable, focusing on soil health, biodiversity, and reduced water usage.Supporting organic soups can align with environmentally conscious consumer choices.
Flavor Variety: Organic soups come in various flavors and combinations, including vegetable soups, tomato soups, lentil soups, and more. This diversity allows consumers to choose flavors that suit their taste preferences.
Health Benefits: Organic soups may have higher nutrient content compared to non-organic counterparts because of the healthier soil and farming practices used in organic agriculture.
Reduced Synthetic Additives: Organic soups typically avoid synthetic additives, preservatives, and artificial flavors, making them a cleaner and more natural choice.
Packaging Considerations: Some organic soup brands focus on eco-friendly packaging, using materials that are recyclable or biodegradable to minimize environmental impact.
Certifications: Look for organic soups that carry certifications like "USDA Organic" or other recognized organic labels, as this indicates that the product meets specific organic standards.
Availability: Organic soups can be found in many grocery stores and online retailers, making them readily accessible for those looking to incorporate organic options into their diet.
When purchasing organic soups, it's a good practice to read product labels and ingredient lists to ensure that the soup meets your organic preferences. Organic soups can be a nutritious and eco-conscious choice for individuals who want to support sustainable farming practices and enjoy wholesome, flavorful meals.

Question: | Does anyone know which soups are low sodium (and also vegan)? Would very much appreciate an answer. Thanks |
Answer: | I know there are lentil and butternut squash soups that are veggie and low sodium, made by Amy's. User questions & answers
Question: | Why so much sodium in all canned soups? can’t people add their own salt if they want it salty |
Answer: | I am not on a sodium restriction diet. There is always the option of, if one food item has more sodium, you can cut down on your sodium in another food. This is my personal opinion. I personally like that the soup is well seasoned and one doesn't have to add anything. It is very tasty without artificial enhancers or additives. It can be heated and eaten as is. |
Question: | Didn't receive product! will you please resend or reimburse |
Answer: | Sure |
Question: | why are the reviews a mix of all his soups? very confusing |
Answer: | How can a can of Wolfgang Puck soup from Amazon cost $35? |
Question: | is it bpa free |
Answer: | Amys soups use BPA free cans as does any health conscious producer. What is the point of being organic if the can is lined with BPA poison? |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is the water filtered from fluoridated water or does the final product contain fluoride in any way |
Answer: | We appreciate you sharing your concern about the quality of the water used in Amy’s foods. All of our kitchens have a charcoal filtration system. The water is checked for contaminants both by us, and the local municipalities. No fluoride is added to the municipal water where our kitchens are located. For more information, you may give us a call at 707-781-7535. |
Question: | What Color Is It |
Answer: | The soup itself is a sort of pumpkin orange because it is tomato based and has turmeric. |
Question: | How many cans are in this package |
Answer: | This DOES NOT SAY 12 CANS. I'd contact the seller and get it in writing for how many cans you are buying at this price. There have been a lot of scams going on more than ever and people are assuming they're buying a case, and they're getting 1 can. If it does not say 12 cans or 6 cans... Assume it is 1 can. I already learned that lesson the hard way and I do not want to see that happen to you. |
Question: | Is this a BPA free can |
Answer: | Found this on Amy's website, and I confirmed with a phone call today:The safety of our consumers is very important to us. So when BPA-lined cans raised health concerns, Amy’s quickly transitioned to tin-plated, non-BPA-lined cans. Our tin-plated can has an approved, non-BPA interior lining The can end is made of tin-free steel and has an approved non-BPA lining as well as a food-grade seal. The can body is lined with acrylic, and the can lid is lined with polyester. The can, lid and the liners are made in the US and are approved by the FDA for direct food contact. The can’s coating protects the food from touching and reacting with the tin-coated steel interior that could cause off-flavors or compromise the integrity of the can. The material we use is a double-coated protective barrier and does not contain:Bisphenol A (BPA)Bisphenol S (BPS)Bisphenol F (BPF)Bisphenol A Diglycidyl Ether (BADGE)Novolac Glycidyl Ether (NOGE)Butylated Hydroxytoluene (BHT)Pthalates |

User questions & answers
Question: | Everyone complains about dented cans. With that being said, is this returnable if all the cans are dented |
Answer: | Call amazon. They'll replace. Cans are always severely dented. Lots of times pnly broth and rice in cans. Caled up the Hain company a couple of times. They couldn't care less. No quality control anymore. |
Question: | what is phosphorus content |
Answer: | Do you want to know the phosphorous content of the soups? Or what is phosphorous? |
Question: | has anyone else had problems with dented can |
Answer: | 2020. They still ship dented cans in packaging that is not damaged. Which makes me think they do this on purpose. They pack already dented cans in those packs of 12. If these are some kind of rejects, as it seems, they should clearly state that in the product description, and adjust the price accordingly. So people can decide for themselves if they want to risk it, or not. Can't believe this has been going on for years, and the company did absolutely nothing about it. |
Question: | is this soup vegetarian? Does it have any meat in it |
Answer: | I read the label of each can ,if its vegetarian recipe then no meat or dairy product is listed then I enjoy it as vegetarian. Its best to call or e=mail heath Valley customer service for the correct answer. |

User questions & answers
Question: | are the cans BPA free |
Answer: | Yes. |
Question: | Are any meat products (such as broths) used in this soup |
Answer: | I read the ingredients, so no, there are no meat products in this soup. |
Question: | How much sodium per serving? "Light in sodium" means nothing |
Answer: | It's 510mg of sodium for one can, about 22% of daily sodium allowance. Quite frankly, it's crazy how much sodium is contained in 99% of packaged food in America. Understandbly, sugar and salt are perfect to hide the low quality of the food compared to prepared meals in France or Italy, but 510mg of sodium for a can of soup it's frankly carzy....and to label it Low Sodium is just hilarious. It's very hard to find a decent product low in salt unfortunately, even organic and "healthy" brands in the US use mountains of salt |
Question: | is amy's minestrone soup gluten free |
Answer: | No it is not gluten free. It contains wheat. Gluten is a protein found in wheat and other grains. |
Question: | Exactky how many cans |
Answer: | 1 can will feed 2 people |
