Question: | Is there a recipe for oven sauce shrimp |
Answer: | I use the shrimp scampi sauce as an additive to the sauce I make from scratch. Very simply I use a half stick of butter, 2or 3 cloves of garlic shredded, red pepper flakes, tbsp. oil, a half of lemon, chicken broth and white wine. Take a dozen shrimp and season with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Sautee half stick of butter, with a tablespoon of oil, garlic, red pepper flakes and shrimp for two minutes on each side. Remove shrimp. Deglaze pan with wine. Add chicken broth, lemon and pouch of Campbell's. Whisk together and return shrimp. Lower heat and cook for ten minutes. At same time cook pasta. Salt water generously. When pasta is aldente, transfer to scampi and cool five minutes more. Serve with garlic bread. |

User questions & answers
Question: | What is size of container |
Answer: | 200 grams , if I remember correctly the container was about five inches high. I used it all up very quickly. |
Question: | What are the instructions? Amazon covered them with their sticker and when I removed the sticker the instructions came off |
Answer: | Hi...instructions are... 1. For 4-6 servings put 4 heaped dessert spoons in a measuring jug. 2. Add boiling water up to the 250ml mark...(I calculated that’s close to a half pint...which is 280ml.) 3. Stir vigorously till it thickens...and that’s it. Personally...I never make a half pint with 4 dessert spoons...you’d be lucky to get 2 servings out of a container. I start with 2-3 teaspoons...add boiling water...and if I want to make it thicker..add another teaspoon or two... This usually suffices....👍 |
Question: | how much salt content does it have |
Answer: | I used up the curry but for comparison, the chicken lists 0.39grams per 50ml portion as prepared. The total for a 100gram canister is 11.90grams |
Question: | Is this vegetarian? Meaning no chicken stock or the like in it |
Answer: | This product is suitable for vegetarians.ThanksRainford Online Trading |

Traditional Japanese curry sauce mix. Spice level - Medium Hot
- The harmonious blend of spices and herbs have set the standard of Japanese style curry
- Easy to Make! Package Includes Recipes & Serving Suggestions
- Product of Japan
User questions & answers
Question: | Would this be good with Diced Chicken |
Answer: | I have made this with chicken, and it's good. The classic that I grew up with in Japan as a comfort food was made with added onion, diced potatoes and carrots, and served with thin slices of sweet pickled ginger, over sticky white rice...meats added were usually slices of beef or pork, but I love ut with ground lamb! Enjoy! |
Question: | Could you help find a old recipe using this product, fresh shrimp and cream of shrimp soup |
Answer: | Personally, I like this product as it is...Shr8mp in general would probably be overwhelmed by the sauce...not sure adding any canned soup would be an improvement. Sorry. |
Question: | Is it fresh? I don’t wanna get sick eating this |
Answer: | Fresh? It is a boxed sauce where you have to add water. Nothing that sits in a box for months will ever be fresh. |
Question: | how many cubes are included |
Answer: | The package contains a molded brick, not cubes...but the brick is marked so that sections can be easily broken off. I think there are 1/8 divisions. It's fairly soft, so bits could be pinched off even... |

User questions & answers
Question: | Cooked golden curry was delivered. Does this happen usually |
Answer: | Don’t have a clue. Curry mix comes in box. They did, however, send me the wrong mix. I ordered medium hot and they sent mild. Too lazy to return. |
Question: | Does this have an expiration date |
Answer: | Yes, they all have expiration date on box. The batch I purchased from amazon had ‘best to use before 2.6.2021’. I have bought this brand from physical stores for many years. All have had expiration dates, but I have used most of them way past the expiration dates and results were still terrific. Some I have used up to 2 years beyond date and still were very good. |
Question: | Ok so one 3.5 ounce package contains 4 separate cubes. The directions say 2 1/2 cups water so use all 4 cubes for that amount |
Answer: | That's how I have always done it. Of course If you like it super thick a little less and super thin a little more. |
Question: | Has anyone made tofu or scallops with this |
Answer: | Personally I have not but I don't see why scallops would go bad with this it taste good with shrimp why would it not with scallops. As for tofu the only time I have it is with miso soup so not sure. |
