However, it does contain lactic acid which is vegan, as it primarily occurs during the natural fermentation process of plants or is man-made using plants. Lactic acid is also found in fermented dairy and meats, but there is no way to tell where Roland's lactic acid was sourced. I have found lactic acid present in many vegan foods so I doubt if it should be of concern. I mentioned it because some people might mistakenly associate it with Lactose found in dairy products. |

The Kalamata olive, widely considered to be the most popular and favored variety of the fruit, is a deep brown-purple olive with a distinct fruity and bitter taste. Primarily harvested from the Greek region of the same name, but also hand-picked from Sparta. Grekko’s Kalamata olives are of the highest quality. We naturally cure and ferment our Kalamata olives in sea salt brine based on premium quality red wine vinegar, and pasteurize them to decrease their salinity, highlighting the taste of the olive itself as opposed to overshadowing the flavor with salt. These olives are harvested with care, ensuring that only the best of the olives are included in the final product delivered straight to your door.
