User questions & answers

Question: Has anyone tried the stonewall kitchen jam, fig and ginger
Answer: I found this info in their website: "AeroGrow uses the same proven, patented nutrients that we've used since the beginning - the result of 6 years of intensive testing in our grow rooms. Our nutrients contain no harmful pesticides, herbicides or other "funny" stuff. The FDA has procedures for classifying plants as organic, but nutrients are not regulated in this way. AeroGrow nutrients are made from mineral salts that provide iron, calcium, magnesium, and other "vitamins" that life on earth need to flourish, in exactly the right amounts for your plants, derived from sources that ensure high levels of consistency and purity. Our seeds are sourced from large and small vendors from around the world. Many are heirloom seeds, organic sources are chosen when available, and GMO seeds are never used."
Question: the gri received was damaged and leaking. how do i receive replacement
Answer: Being an X County Ag agent, I can tell that lettuce is a "cool season" crop. It will do best when there is sufficient light and temperature below 72 degrees. When temperature gets above 75 for long periods of time, the lettuce will "bolt" or grow rapidly in a vertical direction. I have my lettuce in my basement that is partially heated ( 67 to 72 ) and it does very well there. Good Luck Bob
Question: Does this jam contain actual amaretto liquour (alcoholic product)? It is not clear from the ingredients list since it states "Amaretto (tree nuts
Answer: Lettuce can taste bitter if the water is too warm or if it is digesting nutrients. The water in your reservoir should be cool the touch, if it is heating up a bit then throw in a few ice cubes to cool it down. Try a rinse and refill of your water reservoir. Nutrients can build up in the reservoir over time and this can cause your lettuce to taste a bit bitter so cleaning it out once a month (every other feeding) is recommended. Lastly, try to harvest your lettuce before you add nutrients or few days after you have added the nutrients so that it has time to digest them and return to its delicious flavor.
Question: All the reviews are for other flavours. What about the cherry jam? They just mix reviews together
Answer: Although I've successfully grown tomatoes, I think leaf lettuces and herbs work best in the Aerogarden. My 7 pod LED EXTRA (for height expansion) fully loaded supplied enough lettuce that I didn't really need to go to the store to buy lettuce for 2 people for about 2-3 months. You can either snip off the tops or harvest the outer leaves. I like harvesting outside leaves so new ones can grow from the center.

User questions & answers

Question: What are the ingredients
Answer: The spacers are for gardens that have more holes than seed pods.
Question: Is this dressing gluten free
Answer: So long as your seed pods are stored in a cool and dry place then they can last for quite a long time! The crisper drawer of your fridge is a great place to store seed pods until you are ready to use them!
Question: Sounds good & I want to try it but very expensive for just 1 bottle-do u feel it's really worth it? Thanks
Answer: That is correct. This can get a little confusing as when growing flowering/fruiting plants such as tomatoes and peppers you cannot plant all six holes as you can with lettuces, herbs, and flowers. The reason is they grow so large and with proper pruning will take up the entire grow deck. We don’t want you planting anything else with them so we send spacers for the empty holes. Under the seed kit information is indicated: Seed Pod Kit includes: •The Salsa Garden Seed Pod Kit includes: 1 pre-seeded Red Heirloom Cherry Tomato Grow Pods, 1 pre-seeded Jalapeno Pepper Grow Pod and 4 Plant Spacers •Specially Formulated Liquid Plant Food •Grow Domes for optimal germination •Growing Guide insert with step by step instructions

User questions & answers

Question: Is it hot (spicy
Answer: No these aren't meant to be sprouted in a jar. You need sunflower seeds without the hulls for that. These are meant to be soaked for 12 hours or so and then spread over an inch or so of dirt. Takes about a week for them to mature into sunflower micro-greens.
Question: Ingredients listed for product sold on amazon are different from same product sold by stonewall kitchen. no curry powder is listed here. why
Answer: The spacers will fit any AeroGarden

User questions & answers

Question: where is the citric acid derived from? I can not eat corn
Answer: You might still be able to buy this product on Amazon but if you read the description you'll see it was "discontinued by the manufacturer." Amazon sells the Miracle Grow version of this product and its way better. Burpee also makes a similar but better product. I don't know if you can buy the Burpee product on Amazon though.
Question: How many grams of sugar does it have
Answer: Yes. Have used for vegetable seeds but can see no reason why it couldn't be used for flowers.
Question: Are the jars in a 4-pack individually boxed as when buying a single jar
Answer: IT SAYS NO BUT THERE IS SOME BUT THAT'S A GOOD THING
Question: What are the ingredients as listed on the label
Answer: Without knowing the diameter it’s hard to answer your question. This mix is for starting seeds in a seed tray - once seedlings are strong enough you would want to transplant into a tall pot for growing. This starter mix is just to get the seeds sprouted and strong.
Question: Has anyone, or would anyone, put this in the crockpot to slow cook chicken / meat with it
Answer: Yes, sprouted or not. They are organic, natural, unprocessed and in the shell. You'll get much better nutritional benefits if you sprout them first and then eat them!!
Question: Is this good as a aioli type sauce
Answer: I just used sprouting trays for mine and they did fine. The only thing is they had a lot of roots so they didn't have much eye appeal but they tasted great! I dont know the difference between shelled and unshelled for sprouting, I used the shelled and they did well. Sprouts in about a week!!
Question: Can you taste the Maple flavor
Answer: They will grow into sunflower plants. What they will look like as mature plants is unknown, they could be beautiful yellow sunflowers, they could be made to put their energy into the seed and you may get a lot of seed versus fkower. It would be fun to plant them and see what you do get, you will at least get some good black seed and then post it for the rest of us to see.
