User questions & answers
Question: | Is there dairy in it |
Answer: | No, it is a half of a salmon as shown in the image. |
Question: | Is this gluten free |
Answer: | Re Linda Grossman's posting 1-23-20, I used her helpful recipe, using mayo, lemon, capers (I forgot the dill). It is/was fantastic! Thanks Linda. |
Question: | Where were they processed? It says wild caught, but was it sent to china/asia to be processed |
Answer: | No. Lox is more delicate and softer in texture, usually eaten on bagels. This is firmer (harder) in texture, but also delicious. I often use it in pasta dishes, where I make a creamy tomato sauce, add peas and/or fresh basil, parmesan cheese, and crumble the salmon into the mix before serving over pasta. |
Question: | Are these wild caught? It says wild Alaska, not wild caught |
Answer: | Skin is on, but easily comes off. Smoking leaves the skin very thin and edible, but get it if you are not a skin eater. |

Health Benefits of Seafood
Decades of research has connected eating seafood with a healthy heart, immune system, digestion and vision. According to the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute, studies also show seafood can help combat hypertension, diabetes and possibly even cancer. Consumption of seafood can give you a mental edge and can even make you happier. As claimed by the Mayo Clinic, eating seafood can significantly improve brain function, memory, and mental health.
A Family of Fishermen
Many other seafood companies buy the fish they sell to you from various sources. We don’t. We catch our own. We know our seafood is the purest, freshest, and best-tasting seafood you will ever buy, because we catch it ourselves. We have our own fleet of state-of-the-art fishing vessels, where our fish are caught, prepared and frozen right on board. And we partner with only the most experienced fishermen —fishermen who love what they do for a living, who have been with us for decades, and who respect the oceans as much as we do.
Wild-Caught Alaska Salmon

Commitment to Sustainability
With over 40 years of experience fishing the cold, icy waters off the coast of Alaska, our commitment to responsible fishing practices runs deep. Alaska’s salmon fisheries are managed based on robust, sound science, and transparent governance. They are also certified by the Marine Stewardship Council and Responsible Fisheries Management. We actively participate in the state management processes and actively support research and management decisions that keep our fisheries thriving.
