Answer:	I don't know about doves, but it may have helped with my chickadees. I haven't seen as many crows since I hung him on a tree.

Answer:	They are real feathers. I’ve had my birds for over a month. They’ve been in direct Southern California sun and are starting to fade to a Blackish Brown. The feathers are getting whispy. Water from the lawn sprinklers have hit them several times but the feathers dried. They haven’t been out in temperatures lower than 50F. Although they are looking a little rough, they still scare the real crows. I bring them in at night ever since I saw a raccoon try and walk off with one of the birds. These birds are great!! My yard is peaceful. They only scare crows.

Answer:	No, the wings cannot be spread open since it's supposed to be a dead bird
Question:	Do you have to hang the decoy at night so real crows don’t see you? Or is it fine to show yourself handling the dead crow
Answer:	I hang it in the day time and I reverse from hanging upside down to right side up every week or two. The pesky birds are still around but they stay much further away than they did before I bought this crow.

Answer:	This crow has been hanging High in a tree and so far is holding up. However CA has not had any rain just high heat temps. It works on frightening away the live crows!
Question:	I'm going to hang mine upside down to scare away crows. should I leave the strings near the head to hang down or clip them off
Answer:	I left the string in mine and the reason is that in the product information it says that moving the crow every few days is recommended. (Crows are smart.) I leave mine upside down for a few days and then turn it right side up and move it a few feet from where it was. The decoy has really slowed down my crow issues.

Answer:	Every seller is required to put the expiration date or a "Best By" date on the product if it is not visible, before they send it to an Amazon warehouse or to a customer. Tootsie, which manufactures Black Crows, puts a code on their candy items, so it is really up to the seller to decipher it for you and mark it on the item. We just sent in about 3 different Asin's of Black Crows to the warehouse which will become available on Amazon shortly. The expiration date on them is 07/20/2020. I cannot vouch for any of the other sellers as I have no idea what the code was on their stock.
