Answer:	Since Math seems to elude all those that have answered so far, aside from Lee Dailey, I'll provide the correct conversion. If you look at the picture of the nutrition information above, it says 1 serving is 8 oz and 1/4 of a tea bag. So to know what 1 tea bag makes, just multiply the 8 oz by 4 which gives you 32 oz. 32 oz equates to 1 quart. So since there are 4 quarts in 1 Gallon the recommended number of tea bags to make 1 Gallon is 4 tea bags, to make half a gallon takes 2 tea bags, and again for 1 quart is 1 tea bag. It sounds like most of the reviewers like weak tea, so as Lee Dailey implied, you can reduce the number of tea bags for weaker tea or increase the number of tea bags for stronger tea. Personally I like strong tea so I just let the tea bags sit in the water longer. Also the hotter the water, the more tea flavor that comes out of the tea bags. This is why Dunkin Donuts and other coffee houses make coffee and tea so hot, it saves money on the tea/coffee required to make the same strength tea/coffee. Hope this clears up the confusion with the other answers.

However, we think the gallons bags make tea that is a little strong, so if I use indivudual sozed bags, I use only10. When using the gallon size, I can make more that a gallon by adding more water. The secret to good tea is to have the water rolling boil, steaming hot! If not, the water will not brew the full fine flavor, This advertisement has the the wrong picture of backside of the box showing the nutritional inforation. The picture shows the back side of a box of quart size tea bags not gallon size. Thus the Manufacturer's consumer service reply is in error for the famiy size bags.
