Although we’ve since returned to the use of tapioca now that the supply chain issues are resolved, we never used the denatured form of carrageenan (which is actually called poligeenan, and is the substance that causes inflammation). There is some confusion in health communities regarding these two substances, since there hasn’t always been a term to differentiate between the two. But in order to convert carrageenan to poligeenan, you’d need heat and acid levels far in excess of what the human body can produce. Though we used the technical term “carrageenan”, the substance we used to thicken the softgel enclosure that holds the curcumin/black seed oil emulsification, is red algae extract. It’s perfectly safe and does not cause inflammation, All that being said, we have gone back to using tapioca in our clean, vegetarian soft gels.

Answer:	I will start by saying that this is a very very gentle cleanse product. Even the full 10 days is not a harsh cleanse at all. I have used many cleanse products and that is how I know this is a very gentle one to use. In response to your question about doing 5 days of it and saving 5 days for later, I think that you would lose the full effectiveness of the cleanse if you do that. It is set up so that you take a certain number of capsules for the first 8 days and then less for the last 2 days. So, if you did 5 days and then wanted to do another 5 days later, you would have less of the capsules to use for the second cleanse. There, of course, is no reason that you couldn't save it and do that, but I think you would lose the effectiveness of the cleanse each time since this is such a gentle cleanse. I do this cleanse for 10 days every 3 months, that is how gentle it is. It does not disrupt my schedule at all when I use it. I just factor it into my day and go about my regular schedule. By the way, in case you don't know, this cleanse consists of herbal capsules that you take in the evening, a probiotic pearl that you take anytime each day, and a lemon flavored fiber packet that you can drink at anytime in the day. Answer:	I think the problem with inconsistent taste is an issue of storage. It says "Do not heat bottle" right on the bottle. I believe the product is being stored in hot, unairconditioned conditions during the summer months, and this is to blame for the awful batches.
