Answer:	I have been brewing Kombucha with this tea for years now with no problems but I use a combination of organic black tea (50%), this brand Silver Needle white tea (30%%) & organic green tea (20%). To have a healthy scoby you should add black at least every other brew. You should also not use teas with additives or added oils because they throw off the balance of yeast & bacteria which is why I stay away from blends. But I am not sure why white tea cannot be used unlimited as long as you add black tea or switch over to black tea st least every other brew.

Answer:	I'm not a tea expert still learning but I found the Gunpowder whole leaf tea from Davidsons produce a nice green brew with a true green tea flavor. But again I'm still learning about tea varieties. I am not blown away by the taste but this is just green tea right? Its not bad. You are right to be concerned about heavy metals in tea, most especially from, China. Check out this article on the matter, specifically Table 4 if you read nothing else. Answer:	I would say no. The leaves are tightly wound. The hot water unravels them. I steep in hot for 20 mins. I don't think you would get much flavor in cold. I have however brewed it hot and then iced it. It's good that wayou too.

Answer:	Thank you for your question. We have updated our brewing instructions for this tea to the following: Brew 1-2 tsp (2g) in 8 fl. oz. of 170-180°F water for 1-3 minutes. Tea must be brewed at a minimum of 170°F for at least 1 full minute. We recommend using an infuser for brewing; remove it prior to drinking. Answer:	Hi. I would say it's very broken pekoe, but it's not itty bitty pieces or fannings. So, while it's not the gourmet tea I personally import from China, I like it for the price. Sometimes I can't afford the TOL stuff. I like it as a budget tea. Of course I would drink golden monkey every day if I were made out of money. I have been happy with all of the loose stash teas. Answer:	This answer also appears on other Stash products on Amazon, so to avoid confusion, if buying the Stash Kopili Estate loose-leaf tea, it is only from the Kopili tea plantation, in Assam, a state in northeast India, often called the foothills of the Himalayas. It is a full-bodied black tea, and production methods for black teas vary, from air-cured to roasted, hand processed or machine packed, fannings (used in bags or sachets), broken leaves or whole leaf teas, tips included or not.

Answer:	Do you research, and you'll see that even if you ignore all the Chinese food contamination scandals, air pollution in China may mean green tea has risky levels of heavy metals, lead, and other airborne pollutants. Being organic, which means pesticides weren't used, isn't good enough for buying tea from China, if you're consuming tea regularly for the health benefits.

Question:	are these teas organic
Answer:	I do every day. I brew a cup for myself using about 1 1/2 tablespoons on the tea. I steep it in about 4 cups of almost boiling water. I’ll steep it for about 3-4 minutes and fill my travel cup. I then add more water to my tea pot and let that steep for another 5-10 minutes. I strain it and chill for iced tea. It’s wonderful. So I get a full cup of hot tea and about 4-5 cups of iced with each steep.
Question:	Truly organic? latest bag does not say organic on it, the order prior to this one did say organic...what gives
Answer:	No, they're finely cut; out of all the companies that sell loose-leaf sencha green tea, this is one of the best; flavorful after only 30-second brewing.
Question:	What do you store your loose tea in
Answer:	That's a little difficult to answer, but I think I get at least 40. It depends upon how strong you want your tea to be. I like to mix this tea with just a little bit of Oolong. I make a small pot that gives me two mugs of tea and I think I use about a tablespoon of Sencha and half a teaspoon of Oolong. I like my tea on the mild side. The last time I bought a big bag of organic Sencha and I refilled this container. I have enough left in the bag to refill this again. I hope this helped!
