10 best unknown low acid coffees
Unknown low acid coffees might refer to lesser-known brands or varieties of coffee that are specifically marketed as low acid. Here are some general insights into low acid coffees:
Low Acid Coffee Varieties: Certain coffee bean varieties naturally have lower acidity. Look for beans from regions like Brazil, Sumatra, or Peru, as they are often known for producing coffee with milder acidity.
Processing Methods: The way coffee is processed can impact its acidity. Coffee that undergoes a wash or wet process tends to be lower in acidity compared to dry-processed coffees.
Roasting Levels: Dark roasts typically have lower acidity than lighter roasts. If you're looking to reduce acidity, opting for a dark roast might be a good choice.
Blends: Some coffee brands create specific blends that aim to be lower in acidity. These blends often combine beans from different regions to achieve a well-balanced and less acidic flavor profile.
Decaffeinated Options: Decaffeinated coffees, especially those using the Swiss Water Process, can be lower in acidity. The decaffeination process can remove some of the compounds that contribute to acidity.
Cold Brew Coffee: Cold brew coffee tends to be less acidic than traditional hot-brewed coffee. The slow steeping process used in cold brew extraction results in a smoother and less acidic flavor profile.
Acid Levels in Coffee: It's essential to note that "low acid" doesn't mean no acidity. Coffee inherently contains acids, and the term "low acid" typically refers to a milder acidity compared to other coffees.
When exploring unknown or less mainstream coffee brands, reading customer reviews and tasting notes can provide insights into the acidity levels and overall flavor profile. Keep in mind that individual preferences vary, so what one person finds low in acidity might still have some acidity for another.

User questions & answers
Question: | Which Lucy Joe coffee is best for cold brew |
Answer: | Yes it does heat on both sides, however 1 side heats better than the other, so I do flip it to finish off the other side. I think it is the top that heats better than the bottom (I haven't made a panini in a while as they make me fat!) But it does make amazingly delicious sandwiches... just be sure to use good bread for it. |
Question: | Can this be used in a french press coffee maker |
Answer: | Mine is 1500 watts. I love my grill. I cook most of my meat on my grill. I make toasted cheese sandwiches, cheese tortilla sandwiches. Super easy cleanup. Highly recommend you get De'Longhi over any other. |
Question: | Can you please tell me what the ph level is for your low acid French roast? Thank you |
Answer: | Cooking meat is one of the best features of this grill. It works best on servings of uniform thickness that hold the cooking surfaces fairly parallel, like fish filets, hamburgers, steaks, sliced vegitables. This will insure even cooking. It will still do a good job with uneven items like whole chicken breasts that taper in thickness. When the thick part is done the thin part will be over-cooked. That can be overcome by overlapping the thin ends of two chicken breasts to equal the thick parts. Don't even think about turkey legs! Here is a special caution I learned from the smallest George Foreman grills. Do not use no-stick spray. The non-stick surface will deteriorate faster. If you have to butter up the grill, use a brush and simple cooking oil. This applies to all Teflon surfaces, but those with the thinnest Teflon coating go first.Keep the grease capture cup in place, and don't try to cover the whole cooking surface: The splatter from the meats on the edges of the grills will spray out on your counter top. I place the grill on a thin sheet of plastic sold as a cutting board (!?!) And remember: this grill has no off switch, and the rheostat is lousy. I rolled out and cooked a thin sheet of hamburger meat to find the cold parts of the grills. |

The Puroast story begins while I’m sitting on a Venezuelan coffee farm one morning and I’m served a cup of coffee by my host. The same fellow who grew, roasted and brewed the beans. The taste was unlike any coffee I had ever had. Savory, rich and very smooth. No bitterness. I assumed this great taste was because I was on a coffee farm, like drinking wine in a vineyard. It turns out the secret to this flavor was how heat was used in roasting. I knew then that I wanted to learn how to create a coffee that is pure to the art of roasting. Puroast Coffee. After a long journey, we found the right flavor and Puroast Coffee was born. So my brother and I start selling Puroast in local stores in California, people loved the taste and then we find out there’s a lot more to the story. Mixed in with the compliments about taste, we received comments telling us Puroast Coffee didn’t upset customers’ stomachs or aggravate their heartburn. There were so many of these comments that we decided to find out if there was something different about Puroast which would be a significant benefit. We discovered there was a big difference in Puroast. Not only does our roasting recipe make for a smoother taste, it also greatly reduces the acid in the coffee by more than 70% compared to leading brands. 70% less acid than other coffees! This isn’t just me saying this, it’s Dr. Shibamoto and scientific research team from the University of California/Davis. Dr. Shibamoto found that in reducing acid levels, our roasting process dramatically increased the amount of antioxidants. And by dramatic I mean by 5 times more than other leading coffees and 7 times more than green tea. 7 times more antioxidants than green tea! You will discover what I did on that Venezuelan coffee farm, along with Puroast Coffee’s exquisite flavor, the benefits of lower acid and rich levels of antioxidants will bring you enjoyment like no other coffee you’ve ever had.
- 70 LESS ACID: Our low acid coffee is perfect for all coffee lovers, especially those with heartburn, acid reflux and other gastrointestinal issues. Whether you like your coffee organic, decaffeinated, french roast or in a k-cup pod, we offer a variety of single serve, whole bean and ground coffee
- 7X HIGHER ANTIOXIDANTS: It turns out there is a connection between antioxidant levels and how coffee is heated during roasting. Published research from UC Davis shows that Puroast coffee has 7X the antioxidants of green tea and 5X the antioxidants of leading coffee brands
- PURE TO THE POUR: From our humble origins in the foothills of the Andes Mountains, Puroast's secret to crafting smooth, rich coffee is rooted in roasting the way that coffee growers do. We roast for quality, not volume, and never use any additives or extractions
- FEEL BETTER, NEVER BITTER: Take on the daily grind with a smooth, aromatic cup of coffee that tastes great and makes you feel good! Our unique roasting method creates a low-acid blend that won't bother your stomach and has no bitter aftertaste. We also use renewable, clean technology to fire our roasters
- QUALITY IN EVERY CUP: Not all coffee is created equal. Our high elevation grown coffee beans are sustainably sourced, kosher and chemical/pesticide free, so you can feel great about what you're drinking while gaining relief from coffee-related digestive issues

Like getting a hair cut ( but a little bit off at a time because if you cut it to short your stuck with and ). Make-up is kinda like that to me ; if I go in with a heavy hand I might have to start over again & wash my face again then my face cream & serum and foundation & nobody likes to start over plus wasting our face cream & serums for face & eyes // NOT COOL @ ALL BUT I HOPE I WAS ABLE TO HELP YOU OUT !! Emilie first conceived of Mommee Coffee, during her second pregnancy, while on an 8 hour road trip from San Francisco to San Diego. She had stumbled through her first pregnancy drinking tasteless decaf brands and watered-down regular coffee and felt guilty on the days when she indulged in a full-caf pumpkin spice latte. By the time her second baby belly was in full bloom, she was fed up and had talked to enough fellow moms to know she wasn't alone. She needed to find a way to keep her cherished morning cup and be in control of exactly what she was putting in her body. By the time she arrived in San Diego, Emilie had the name Mommee Coffee and the beginnings of a vision for providing moms and moms-to-be with a delicious coffee specifically geared to their unique needs. The needs of moms and moms-to-be are many and diverse but in general moms need to feel good about what they are putting into their bodies and by extension into the bodies of their babies. Moms need to have energy to tackle their busy lives. And they need to feel like themselves in a time when so many things are changing. Mommee Coffee provides all of this in a coffee that is low in acid, chemical-free, fair trade and as caffeinated or not-caffeinated as a mom requires (decaf, 1/4 caf, 1/2 caf, full caf). And, on top of all that, we at Mommee Coffee are pretty sure that moms will find our coffee tastier and healthier than the coffee they drank this morning.
- Full Caf - Mom life is hectic so we got you covered
- Designed for Moms - Guilt-free coffee for all stages of motherhood: trying to conceive, pregnancy, breastfeeding and beyond
- Low Acid - Easier on your more-sensitive-than-usual stomach and your more-taxed-than-usual bones
- Organic & Water-Processed - No harmful chemicals are used in our growing and decaffeination processes
- Fair Trade Certified - Because we care about the health of your babies and the world they will grow up in
User questions & answers
Question: | Why doesn't this have an expiration date |
Answer: | I have been buying this product for years, the last time I ordered I was so disappointed, most of the cans were 1/2 filled and didn’t taste the same. |
Question: | Decaf vs. quarter caff...which has less caffeine |
Answer: | The cinnamon flavored variety is legitimately my favorite. Lime with coconut? Kinda weird. Cinnamon up in there? Straight from the heavens. I need cinnamon flavored coconut water with pulp and I'll die happy. |
Question: | About the decaf low acid, two questions. Does it come ground? What is the roast level, medium or dark? Thanks |
Answer: | Amy & Brian is pure coconut water. Nothing is added. Coconut water (also known as coconut juice) is the water from inside a young coconut. Our coconut water is bottled at the source in Thailand from young Thai coconuts. That's why it tastes so good! |
Question: | What is the Ph level? Thank you |
Answer: | A&B is "flash pasteurized", which is the same pasteurization used for the tetra paks, as I understand it, so the nutrients should be comparable. They heat theirs at a lower temp than, say, Zico's, but for a bit longer. If you google "Crossfit Adventure" and this coconut water brand name, you'll see the article about the specifics: A&B heats their juice to 160-165 degrees for 15-20 seconds so that the nutrient content is undiminished. Also, the can is not BPA - it is Aqualure 900~19%. The other brand I liked the taste of, Nature Factor, does heat up their CW to a very high degree, so that one may be of concern nutrients-wise. Not A&B.One of the reasons this brand tastes so much better than others is that it uses young coconuts. You can research this further if you like. This is the only brand I buy now. None of the others compare. I think Nestle is behind one & Coke or Pepsi produces another. Hope this helps. |
