Answer:	The leather lined can be treated to make them waterproof. I specifically sought out the Tibet LL for their breathability over goretex. That said, they require more upkeep to keep the waterproof coating working optimally.

It all began with strawberry syrup, which I used to make at home so that my kids could enjoy the sweetness of strawberry milk without fake additives and high fructose corn syrup. I'd buy organic strawberries from the market and boil them in a pot, loving how the fruity fragrance filled our home. Then I would pour the juice through a strainer, add organic sugar, and boil down the mixture a second time. Natural, Minimal Ingredients

Many "fruit" syrups on the market don't contain the tiniest hint of real fruit, relying on a cheaper ingredient – artificial flavors – to mimic the taste of fruit instead. The first ingredient in our fruit syrups always comes from organic fruit. Why organic? Strawberries, blueberries and peaches are all on the Environmental Working Group’s list of produce that contains the most chemical residue. That’s why we took extra care to use only certified organic fruit in our syrups.

You can get cheaper ones that don’t make as good of snow and ones that are a lot more expensive and industrial.. the lil snowie is perfect and has so far given us 2 awesome years without needing to replace the blade or anything. It’s very loud and will make a little bit of a mess on your counter bc you shave directly into a cup vs some that shave into a collection area but so worth it mess and noise are small price to pay for an amazing snow cone from home 😋

This S900A Shaved Ice Machine by Hawaiian Shaved is the perfect home-use appliance to make shaved ice, snow cones, snowballs, slushies, margaritas, and much more. This shave ice maker is fun and easy to use. With its 3-piece design, you can assemble the machine in a matter of seconds. It comes with two ice molds to freeze ice, a non-slip mat, an instruction manual, and a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty.

To use, fill the round ice molds with water and let them freeze overnight to produce small, round blocks of ice. Next, allow the ice thaw for 5-7 minutes before shaving. When the ice is thawed and easy to remove from the mold, place it into the ice crusher cup. Then, place the motor unit in position and gently press down on the motor assembly to shave a mound of soft fluffy snow.

When the ice production completes, there will be a thin layer of the ice block in the ice crusher cup – this is to prevent the ice-gripper plate from making contact with the blade. To remove the leftover ice, turn the unit upside-down and allow the remaining ice to fall, or allow the ice to melt out. REMEMBER – never insert your fingers into the ice crusher cup, always watch for the blade and read the instruction manual before operating.

Answer:	It will make about 2 1/2 small ones and very small ones but perfect size for 5 and under. There is about 1/4 of an inch of ice that the machine can't shave at the end for whatever reason. So you will have a thin piece at the end that you will not be able to use.
Question:	Does this shaved ice machine create the fine, soft shaved ice similar to what you get in Hawaii, or is it more like the chips in snow cones
Answer:	I had this and sent it back, to me it wasnt ljke what you get in Hawaii at all. Even though it did shave the ice pretty fine there was always small chunks that made every bite crunchy. If you don't mind it being somewhat crunchy you will probably like it. If you want it like you get in Hawaii you'll have to do what I did and get a machine the the ones they use over there. I bought a fujiyama, expensive but awsome.

Answer:	I guess you can mix it with water if you want. I made different soda fountain drinks with the syrup and seltzer.

Answer:	Yes. You can use it with your sodastream maker. I am so unhappy with sodastream's new fountain mixes. So I am using this 1 pump of this cherry mix along with Classic Cane Sugar Cola and it is very good. To save more money, I am considering buying a gallon of Snappy Cola Snow Cone Mix and mixing it with the cherry flavor that I an enjoying, and am planning on trying the bubble gum and cotton candy flavors to augment the cola mix. But yes, you can use it with sodastream - and its better than the new fountain style mixes.
