Answer:	I have the 8 Plus and that fits. I do have to put it screen down on the stand because I have two pop sockets on the back of my phone. But it still works great for me!

Answer:	I don’t have a pop socket on my phone. On my IPhone 8 Plus, the backing rests about half way up on the phone in the upright position. So it may be dependent on where the pop socket is placed but when compressed I suspect it will push the phone outward slightly but not sure how much it will impact staying balanced on the holder. If laying horizontally may be ok with a pop socket but again I do t have one on my phone to verify.
