Answer:	I use it on a wall i painted grey. Without direct sunlight on the screen area I can see it with my window blinds open. Darks are harder to see but its a bright enough projector that it is still viewable .

Answer:	I don't think you could use this outside in the middle of the day, but I think you can have quite a bit of light present. I use this in the middle of the day in my media room with the doors open and light coming in the windows of the other room.

Answer:	I found this article www.hifihelper.com/ht2050a-vs-ht2050 helpful for not only listing all the differences, but helping you to understand if those differences would make much of a difference or not. I ended up going with the newer model and I'm glad I did, but now it makes more sense what some of these upgrades do or when they might be useful. Because even though I'm not really taking advantage of them now, they might be helpful in the future and now I feel like I'll be able to get more out of this projector. REALLY awesome projector by the way! Definitely worth spending the money to get one of these over the ones that cost a little less! Hope that helps :)

Answer:	On our 3rd unit, they all only outputted mono. BenQ rep said it should be stereo. Amazon must have gotten a bad batch? First bought around Prime Day.

Answer:	It could be your connection cable- Aux cord only does stereo- 2 Channels + sub. Some cables only do 2,3 or 5 channel spread. Sounds like you are using Dolby Surround 5.0. To stream and get Dolby- (1) Pick Up an AppleTV box- they have the dispersion software & FireWire cable to provide surround sound etc. or (2) buy a more expensive Projector that provides surround audio. I went thru same challenge. Hope that helps.

Question:	Hello, what about the imput lag? Is this a good projector for gaming? 3000 lumens are enough for a bright living room
Answer:	3000 Lumens will be very washed out in a bright room, ok with with a dim room and bright in a dark room. If the game or program is bright than it would be fine most likely. However with something like movie or anything where the picture is dark you will want as little light as possible with any projector. I have 3000 lumen projector in my living room and wouldn't use it during the day without blackout currents on hand. For watch something like football it's fine provided the sun isn't hitting the screen, but for movies the curtain are closed still don't make the room completely dark but it's fairly dim. That's my opinion if you are using a white screen with a grey ambient light screen you can extend that a bit more. 3000 Lumen is less than half of the perceived brightness of a typical 4k screen sold today.

Question:	How far does the projector need to be on the ceiling to project
Answer:	Min 1680 mm Average 1851mm Max 2021 mm Offset 34mm The projector comes with distance and offset values in the manual Be aware there is no vertical or horizontal lense shift on this model. You will need to be extremely close with your measurements . A low profile ceiling mount is also needed if you plan on ceiling mounting with the screen near the ceiling
Question:	Any problems with dust getting inside the projector and distorting the image (dust blobs)? This was a problem with my 720P short throw Benq
Answer:	Had mine for a year, and yes I’ve had problems with this. I’ve been using it on the ceiling of a somewhat dusty room (adjacent to the cooking room) so it was certainly exposed to airborne particles. There are a few very mild dark spots that have begun to appear on the picture. I have not yet dissassembled it or hit it with compressed air so I can’t really say if this is a user-fixable problem or not. Overall the dust hasn’t really hampered my enjoyment of the projector, but it’s something to watch out for if you’re a stickler for screen uniformity.

Answer:	Pretty good actually the gamma will need to be adjusted as we games are pretty washed out and others are not on the same setting

Answer:	Mine is on a table right next to me and I do not notice the sound, like a laptop fan. Not like my old projectors. My room temperature is 80 or below. I keep my leather away from the side that blows out. Has no vents on top or bottom.

Answer:	You can watch TV with the projector if you have a tuner that has an HDMI or component output. The projector does not have a built in tuner so you would not be able to connect cable or an antenna directly to the projector to watch TV.

Answer:	We've had our since Christmas and honestly I can't tell it's running when we're watching a movie/playing games even when the volume is low. To be clear, you can hear fan noise if you specifically listen for it, but I have never had a moment where I was like, "I wish the fan was more quiet" or "Turn the volume up to cover the fan noise". We are extremely satisfied with this unit.

Answer:	it has two HDMI plus a couple other ones but I use the two HDMI and a HDMI expansion box and it works GREAT. I LOVE this projector. I would buy another one in flash if this one ever died. It is one of my most happiest purchases I have ever made. If you need to know what the other ones are I will put it in later. I am at work now and can't remember it's been a long time since I was in the back of the projector. You won't regret buying this.

Answer:	I have not yet used the 3d function but have done a little research on it (so I'm not 100% certain). From what I understand the projector itself emits the IR from the front of the projector which bounces off the screen; so yes, I believe the emitter is built in. Question:	how can I Shift the projection lens vertically> on the benQ W1080ST
Answer:	This model, unlike its brother W1070, has no Lens Shift. But you can tilt the projector up or back down with a rectangular button on the front bottom edge that says PUSH. When pushed a monopole leg drops down allowing you to move the image up or down. You release the button to lock it into position. If you move the image too much you will get keystoning, which is an effect where the sides of the image aren't parallel and the top and bottom of the image aren't of equal length--like the keystone you might see at the top of a stone archway in a building.

Answer:	Yes, an infrared remote. It also appears to be able to receive from it if you point it towards the screen onto which it projects.

Answer:	Yes. Mine is 12 feet away from the wall and the max image is 105 inches. You can adjust smaller by turning the lever by the lens.

Answer:	I suggest you buy one from BenQ's website. I tried buying a non-oem (cheaper) model I found online for another BenQ projector that I purchased a couple of years ago and it caused damage to my projector. I had to buy a new bulb from them and pay to have it repaired.

Answer:	My screen is about fifteen feet away from the projector lens. The image at that distance clips about three inches off the left and right sides of the projected wide format video. But the projector also has built in cropping software to make the edges sharper. So, I would say that between 16 and 20 feet are the sweet spot for this projector.-B

Answer:	On the home screen, there should already be a youtube app icon. Clicking that will take you inside the app - similar to the mobile app. By using the arrow keys you would be able to select the search button on top of the youtube bar and using the navigation buttons on the remote you would be able to type in the text. But the non-working part is selecting the video you want to access. you can search and get the required results but you will not be able to select the video. I have tried to contact the PYLE company with no response
