I have an 138" diagonal 2:35 to 1 cinemascope screen (so 16x9 programs equal 110" diagonal) that has a 1.3 gain. My ceiling mounted 5040ub projector & my seating position is 16ft from the screen in a fully light controlled theater room. With the projector set on "Bright Cinema" and power mode set on "medium", the picture is clear, sharp and bright. With the powered lens memory that the Epson 5040 has, you definitely want to have a 2:35 or 2:40 aspect ratio screen so when you watch a movie, the picture gets bigger, not smaller (like is does on a TV). Consider this: A 16x9 110" diagonal screen has a 54" vertical height & 96" width....but when you play a regular cinemascope movie (2:40 to 1 aspect ratio)....you have 7" of blank screen on BOTH the TOP & BOTTOM of the screen. So your picture is 40" by 96" = 3840 square inches. A cinemascope shaped screen of the same 54" height is 127" wide which makes the picture 6858 sq inches. That's an 78% LARGER PICTURE !

Answer:	I get 85" screen at approx 12' It should function at 30' maybe close to 200" this is dependent on how dark you can keep the room, yes there is zoom for screen size adjustment and keystone correction as well as orientation.

Answer:	It is a measurement of footlamberts, kind of like putting candles out in a formation to see how bright can it be.
Question:	Why does the optoma s343 turn off while watching a movie
Answer:	Could be several reasons. Over heating, the settings or a malfunction of the projector especially when watching a movie. I would suggest contacting the manufacturer for an answer or return for an exchange. I’ve had no issues with mine when showing multiple movies at my annual parties. Hope this helps

Answer:	Hi I have a similar but not exact Acer model- a V6820i. I had similar problems when using an external switcher- I need to have multiple inputs and need to extract 5.1 audio from the HDMI. One of the switchers I had did this, and I returned it and got a new one. Is this your situation- an external switcher? Another possibility is your HDMI cable. It may be unable to handle the full data rate of the Xbox. If your cable is a cheap one and over 8 feet or so this could be your problem. If it is a really long cable it could certainly be the problem. I have a 25 foot run to a ceiling-mounted projector and use a fiberoptic active HDMI cable and it works great. In summary, your problem may not be the projector, it may be how you are sending your signal to it.
