Answer:	2160 IS 4k. 4k UHD. UHD. Real 4k? I am guessing that they are meaning this doesn't upscale 1080p to 4k.

Answer:	Dennis doesn't know what he is taking about. The 40" dimension is diagonal from upper left of the screen to lower right of the screen. The horizontal width of a 40" TV is 35.5"+-. The difference in thickness and height from the other 2 answers is: Todd's answer is including the legs and mcgiver's does not. So if you're putting it on a cabinet or counter you will be more interested in Todd's dimensions and if you are hanging it on a vertical surface (i.e. wall) mcgiver's numbers will be more useful.
